I've been reading a book called The Daily Stoic. In it one of the biggest points they make is to focus on what you can control, and accept and change your perception on what you can't control. I love love love this philosophy so much and it's very much fds.

To any pickmes out there, you cant force a man to change for the better no matter how much you love him. You can't change your toxic friends and family. You can't change your toxic work environment.

All you can do is control how you respond to those people and your perception of the situation. When my ex cheated on me and dumped me i felt completely worthless. But when I change my perception and looked at the breakup as a lesson I changed my view on the situation and myself.

Instead of feeling like a fool I just felt like it was the universe testing me, and even though I got dumped it lead me to fds, causing me to change my mindset and attitude towards men and life in general for good. If my ex never dumped I in a way would've never found out about the dangers of the porn industry and the ways of patriarchy because I wouldn't have ever found this sub.

There's more to stoicism than just this, I'm only now taking the time fully read about it. But this idea of focusing on what you can and can't control is the core of the philosophy and I feel every woman should read about it and try to implement it in their own lives ❤️
