After joining this sub, I’ve been wholly affirmed that I’m on the right track as a woman. I’ve been called cold, stuck-up, bitchy, etc. etc. because I don’t CARE about what men think about me. What I do care about is other women who are tragically stuck in the mindset that they have to live their lives around a man, or they despise me because I’ve eschewed what they can’t.

So, I’ve come to ask, how do you get through to them? I’ve finally shown my mother that she has been in an abusive relationship for 25 years, but it took me actual years. Years of being called a feminist like it was a dirty word, and my brothers still make fun of me for it. How do we show these women that they are better than society tells them? Because if we pull a Lysistrata and ALL upgrade, our quality of life as individuals will be infinitely better—not to mention, men will either have to step up or be left in the dust. Thoughts?
