Hi girls!

Thank you so much for all the wisdom I absorbed from this community! I need some advice regarding my partner's display of (what I perceive as) weakness. Some background... we've been dating for 5 months, met in a professional school (in our mid-20s), have the same values and views on major things. He is very kind, entrepreneurial and has a very healthy sense of self and takes outstanding care of me. He knows how to surprise me, makes me feel adored and other than this weakness issue, our relationship is exactly what I need. On top of it all, his family is lovely and he has made it clear to me that he is interested in long-term partnership and marriage with me.

So, the issue is: small things throw him off emotionally and I get very annoyed by it. For example, his parents had a small problem with an airplane carrier regarding their luggage. He advised them about how to solve the issue, but they didn't listen and it turned out that their stubbornness caused an even bigger issue, instead of solving it. He was so frustrated that he was almost in tears because of it and he needed me to help him calm down. I listened, of course, and was very patient, while massaging his head. He thanked me and told me he was lucky to have me as his partner. Then, just today, he got into a minor misunderstanding with a classmate of ours, which caused him so much anxiety that he felt physically sick and had to skip a social event we had planned with my friends earlier in the week. I am trying to see his perspective, and don't want to shame him for taking the time to process things emotionally, but I am also worried about him being unable to deal with greater life challenges and leading our future family in the right direction (but then again, he handles his business affairs so well, and is a great student now at a top program in our field). Would you suggest I speak to him about this? I am scared of losing desire for him if he continues acting like this. I grew up in an Eastern European culture and it's really hard for me to accept a man who is "weaker" than me.

Any guidance is much appreciated!
