They’re a lot of fun. This sub would have you think it’s all doom and gloom and constantly enforcing boundaries like a pet owner, but if you’ve done your job vetting then there should be very few negatives.

My LTR enriches my life.

My Yorkie-Poodle had explosive diarrhea and vomited today. My ShiTzu-Poodle was alright, but I crate them together, and my Yorkie-Poo shat/vomited all over her dog bed.

My LTR is a dog groomer. With no hesitation, she said she was taking them to work to clean and look after— my workload is brutal today.

We do stuff like this for each other frequently. I enjoy making a Mexican salad if she naps. She enjoys cooking Short Ribs when I nap.

I am awesome. She is awesome— wish I could say I vetted well, but I got lucky. If this relationship were to implode, I would definitely be much better at vetting. If she sleeps with another guy, that means either my value faltered or her value faltered.

Wanting to have kids is a big one. For me I’m currently in an LTR because I genuinely enjoy my girls company. We get along great and she checks all the boxes for me, plus I’ve seen her grow and try more in all aspects of her life since meeting me. But I still at this point remember all TRP truths and stay on my game. There was a point towards the end of last year where I let Covid get to me and I was slipping up and saw how it affected my relationship. Took that as a wake up call to get my act in order and things got better.

I enjoy being single and love the chase, but at the same time I also hate putting up with some of these dumb broads lol. For me at the moment I am happy in an LTR and it’s nice having someone I connect with and am also extremely attracted to. But if things turn south at all or any red flags come up you have to be willing to walk away and stand your ground. I consider myself high value and so does she so I know if things were to end I would be fine in the dating world. All LTR’s are a risk, it’s up to you to decide if the risk is worth it or not. Which most of them are not.

Truthfully we don't always want to be meeting up with random new women and always vetting for red flags, the escalation is never gonna get boring, that's my favorite part, but once in a while you get some lays that are just not compatible at all. Like ugh, just throw me my romper, I gotta get home.

Good LTR's are rare, but damn they can be so rewarding. Like, sex gets better and better cause you 2 learn each other's bodies, wants, and fetishes. You build comfort so it's never awkward.

Quality LTR's become an asset to your mission. You don't waste time swiping on Tinder and trying to get a number and trying to set a date and dealing with flakes or cat fishes.

A good LTR keeps your balls dry and your belly full. They'll meal prep for you, clean your house, do your laundry, bring you Starbucks to work. Hell, make her change your tires!

If you're focused on your mission then going over to your LTR's house, after 10 hours of working on your upcoming business, to a real nice hot dinner with freshly baked cookies, a blowjob on demand, a foot rub, and finish the day with some late night TV, is real nice.

A good LTR can add a lot to your life. But trp principles still apply. She’ll leave. Zero remorse. There’s a sweet spot. Early to mid 20s. After that, trash.

There are three negative ways to control people: fear, obligation and guilt.

When you are not exclusive, there is a kind of fair, honest fear on both sides that the other may go elsewhere. That makes you both try to show the best sides of yourself. It also helps keep you outcome independent, realise it is just your turn, and not intertwine your finances and living arrangements.

When you are exclusive, the fear turns into fear of cheating and your living arrangements and finances falling apart, you feel an obligation to be faithful, and you feel guilt if you cheat. It is a lot less enjoyable.

So I would advise to keep all LTRs non-exclusive. It keeps both of you honest and free, while encouraging you not to let yourselves go to seed.

Commitment means giving up a huge part of yourself and your ability to make honest, choices, to remain true to yourself.

The following advice is only for men who are 25+:

Get into an LTR if you plan to propose and get married within the next 2 years and start having kids.

Don't be one of those guys without options who LTR a girl and strings her along with promises of more committment for 5+ years before the relationship collapses.

If you want to have fun and keep it casual. Then do that. LTR is for marriage and kids.
