Hey I’m like the opposite of your boyfriend: I have a partner and have a business where all my employees so happen to be guys. I gotta interact with them all the time too. I honestly wouldn’t worry about it if he has been loyal to you and not given you a reason to raise your eyebrow.

Don’t be jealous girlfriend, it only robs you of happiness you could be enjoying in your relationship, because you could very well look back on this one day and think “I had no reason to be jealous of any of that”, avoid having that regret.

At the end of the day he’s sleeping with you and not her, right? Take reality for what it is, don’t give those sabotaging thoughts power.

Part of establishing a long-term relationship is being able to put your full trust in your partner. You get married when you reach a point where you are confident in his decisions. As others have said numerous times in this sub's past, your job isn't to be submissive to any guy, but to a leader whose goals you can get behind.

Your lack of trust doesn't mean you should get married sooner. In fact, it's probably the opposite. If you aren't feeling all too trusting, you may want to wait it out. If your boyfriend isn't acting in a way that makes you comfortable, getting married isn't going to make it suddenly go away.

Your jealousy isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that you have an important decision to make. Either you are right to feel this way and you make your next decision based on that assumption, or you determine that your jealousy is irrational and try your best to get rid of it.

How do we determine which one of these two routes is the correct one? That's a tough call and one that only you can make. I don't know enough about your boyfriend to make any character judgments or to strongly suggest a preference. However, something I would keep in mind is a good guy has enough empathy and self-awareness to realize how their actions may appear to their spouse and how they would make them feel. If you feel like your boyfriend is commonly making decisions that make it seem that he is clueless about your feelings, then that's a red flag. The "get over it" comment he made doesn't quite seem like the right words to use to handle the situation.

All in all, you are right not to nag, but you also have a lot of thinking to do: determining when to trust your gut and when to not trust your gut.

I’d would think you’d want to work on yourself and demonstrate higher value than her.

It achieves two goals, first you don’t feel insecure about her. Second he sees you as better and gives you more attention than her.

I wouldn’t, but I’m very conservative about exclusive opposite sex friends. I reduce opposite sex friendships where it’s one on one, once I have a bf, and I expect the same from my bf.

Not everyone is like this. I consider myself a realist about temptations that happen to even good people when continually exposed to alone time with opposite sex, but it doesn’t mean a cheating guarantee.

Basically you can never 100% know if someone is faithful, so you have to decide if he seems trustworthy AND if you can handle the woman business partner.

What are they Realtors?

I mean, if your boyfriend is RP, then he likely has firm boundaries in place with her as it effects his business as well. I'm guessing hard friendzone.

My friend and I are realtors, we've discussed working as team. His girlfriend, is insecure about it right now so we're working on the logistics. (I've been with my boyfriend almost 6 years now). I've known him for years and talk to him about everything anything, I like having his specific male perspective, also because he knows my boyfriend too, so he's a good person to confide in. In our situation, we'd never in our lives cross the line of friendship/business partners.

I'd trust him on this one and work on your own self-esteem.

Maybe ask to get coffee with her if she's a prominent fixture in his life, who knows, she could end up your close friend too.

Ok new here and have been absorbing so much! I feel so lucky to learn about this group because I ended prior relationships due to trying to take charge in relationships and then wasn’t attracted to a ‘passive’ man anymore.

Anyhow, I need some advice. I am in a new relationship of 8 months with a very alpha dominant man who is so different from any man I’ve ever dated. Pretty sure he’s redpill but we never talked about it.

His work allows him to work from home and it’s very lucrative. He has one coworker, his business partner- a woman. They spend a lot of time together, consider themselves to be best friends, and are constantly on the phone all day for work. She has a boyfriend but they are very up and down and she comes running to my boyfriend to vent and for advice any time there’s a problem. She apparently has other girlfriends but doesn’t seem to use them as an emotional resource.

I feel very jealous over their closeness and sometimes feel it borders on inappropriate. Today I saw an ad on fb for their company and it’s a picture of them standing side by side and I can’t help but think they look like a married couple and anyone else would think this too. Is it wrong to wish his business partner was male? Or purely just a business partner and not a friend? Am I looking at this the wrong way and is there any self reflecting I can do?

I don’t want to nag and I appreciate his masculinity so much so I’m scared to harp on a problem too much but hate that it bothers me!! Is it worth mentioning? I brought up that the picture looks like they are married and he told me it didn’t and that I need to get over it.

We’re waiting for marriage, he talks about ‘when we’re married’ often so I’ll go ahead and say we’re rather serious. I do have insecurities regarding getting married sooner then later and wonder if this may be a factor in this issue!

I think the key fact here is that the woman in question is your SO's colleague from work. In your SO's, case the fact that he only has one co-worker means that it's necessary for the two of them to interact with each other frequently and to develop a friendly relationship. Friendly work relationships sometimes involve discussing personal matters.

It's natural to feel jealous, but I think ultimately you need to trust him unless and until he gives you a reason to not trust him. From what you've described, it doesn't seem like there's reason for concern. Like most men, his job is likely very important to him and I don't think bringing up his friendly relationship with a work associate would go over well. I think any nagging may be interpreted as interfering with his decisions concerning work and his job in addition to revealing insecurity. None of that is good.
