They don’t want other men looking at their property. Instead of dealing with their own insecurities they will make her feel like shit about her body. My ex used to say I shouldn’t wear leggings because my legs looked like sausages and tree trunks. Yeah my legs looked great.

Edit: after I broke up with him he showed up at my house and I was wearing short cut off shorts and lifted sandals so the muscles in my legs were poppin. I was just chilling wearing what I wanted. He asked “where are you going”. I said no where, and he cried. He didn’t believe me lol 😂

I reached out and popped a friend’s exbf automatically when he said “finger tip check” to her about a skirt she picked out. Then when she stepped away, I hissed that he has no right to tell a woman what to wear but especially no rights when he isn’t even picking up the tab. A separate time, he said something about how he thought a dress was frumpy that she was holding and I had to pull him aside and get him back right AGAIN.

I’m tired of having to punish the mangy dogs my friends bring around for being mannerless and controlling. 😭

Oh sure, he doesn't want his wife/gf wearing certain dresses, short skirts etc. but watch him break his neck just to look and openly gawk at the woman who is wearing high heels, short skirt, crop top or spaghetti straps. And you have to sit there and LET HIM do it, if you don't you're being "insecure, controlling, not understanding his nEeDs!"

I thank God every day that I'm single so I don't have to deal with this shit anymore.

Omg yes. I experienced that recently at Home Goods. A woman was looking at a kitchen gadget sounding excited about it, and the husband just shuts it down. I remember those convos with my ex too, and lord it feels so damn good to not consult anyone with a purchase! ✨

I work at a jewelry store and around Valentine’s Day a couple got in. She was looking at a beautiful ring, she took pictures with it and honestly it suited her a lot ! I always get anxiety when I hear people speak to their partners in a controlling, passive aggressive way

It always makes me tense. I remember working at a cafe and this couple came in sometimes. She was so sweet. He sounded like a complete piece of thrash. He'd be controlling about what coffee she ordered. "No, you don't want that." Gross. I always wanted to tell her she deserved better but was afraid of what he'd do because he was always in earshot and watching.
