I got into a long distance relationship because of lockdowns ruining night life. It was more of a survival mechanism. It works out seeing her once every 6 weeks or so.

I've told her and my friends though that it ONLY works with the distance. I have had one GF before (about 6 years ago) and after about 3 months it became unbearable.

I miss being single everyday but...again....lockdowns have made bar hopping an untenable nightmare. To manage 'sex once in a while' with dating apps would mean constantly explaining to strangers why lockdowns are bullshit. I just can't keep having that circular conversation anymore. And that is the only point - sex once in a while. And I get that with my long distance situation.

It's very frustrating.
