In light of some of the more urgent and alarmed posts on this sub concerning the American elections, I think it's necessary to step back and remember a few important things.

  1. If you are concerned about your future, now is the time to act.
You are a lone individual on his own road. You can be more agile and adaptive than other people. You are not as heavily burdened by commitments, obligations or culpability towards others. Act accordingly.

  2. The President elect is only guaranteed a Pyrrhic victory.
Regardless of who assumes the office of President, a sizeable number of the population is going to view them as illegitimate. If Trump wins, the media, the establishment and a good number of the public will continue to escalate their attacks against him, and he will also face internal troubles from the many RINOs in the Republican establishment. A Biden/Harris Presidency will see the Ouroboros of the corporate establishment left and the radical left devouring itself both in the streets and within the walls of Congress. On mainstreet, the silent majority has grown fed up with the infighting of the political class and their patsies, and trust in the mainstream narrative has been wavering. Now might be the time to slowly find more like minded individuals like you to build solidarity and if possible, a community with, so you can depend on them if things go south.

  3. The Elites have much more of a stake in maintaining the establishment and status quo than you.
The establishment types have a vested interest in the continual growth of the bureaucratic welfare state not only to encourage populace dependency but to finance their outstanding debt and hide their blatant corruption. Gone are the days of true fiscal conservatism. Even under Trump, Federal spending has gone up by close to 7 trillion over the course of 4 years and neither he nor Biden/Harris have any intent of balancing the budget. The silver lining in this is that this buys you more time to look after your own interests: This can involve swapping cash for hard assets, relocating to more stable areas such as the countryside or overseas or simply stocking up on perishable goods.

  4. You can grieve the current state of affairs, but it is not yours to regret.
Above all else, realise that there were forces beyond your control that was setting the stage for this to happen, and you simply had the misfortune of not being born in either the right time nor in the right family to make a difference. The best thing you can do right now, is to think about what you can do right now to safeguard your future interests.

Gentlemen, I know these are stressful times for some of you, but remember, this is your road, so be mindful of yourself and the impediments ahead and don't let the idiots on the sidelines steer you off course.
