This is bullshit fake news by the media. The unemployment rate from the Bureau of Labor Statistics page linked in the NBC article that this article cites states that seasonally adjusted unemployment for men 16 and over is 6.4% vs 6.0% for women 16 and older. There are more unemployed men than women. As usually the media is cherry-picking data to fit their narrative.

Fascinating article, but it draws the wrong conclusions from the data because feminism has blinded the author:

More women are unemployed because they have low paying jobs, and many of them work in fields that have nothing to do with the useless degrees they got in college.
Fewer men are unemployed because more men work in jobs that are self-segragated male jobs, ie bricklayers and roughnecks, and/or they hold positions too vital to the economy to be laid off in a pandemic.

In other words, men's work is necessary and women's work is discretionary.
