In the most basic philosophical sense? An economy where the means of production are controlled by the workers themselves rather than a class of wealthy property owners. It's both a political and economic system.

In reality? A worse mess than capitalism. A ruling class always develops, and without the promise of profits, creativity and hard work stagnate. There's a reason every communist state has either failed or is a shithole.

It's fascism with better PR. Everyone is free and equal, but the most loyal are more equal than everyone else and they get to tell you what to do. If you don't do what you're told then you're a traitor and they kill you or put you in a labor camp.

Communism is a utopia that has not and will not ever be achieved.

What that utopia will look like, no one can tell you, not even a communist.

They will believe that this will happen when people have a vote on everything that happens in life and work, basically a complete democracy on everything (well most of them do)

As they believe most of the ills in the world are result of greedy capitalist. When in fact the majority of the worlds problems are created by Corrupt and inept Government.

So of course the first thing they try and do, is make everything government. Because giving government ALL the power and ALL the authority has always worked out so well (sarc).

Of course all the educated and successful people realise what happens when you give away all the power, and are the first against the wall.

And then the rest of the people spend decades of suffering from, death squads, secret police, starvation, the complete lack of goods, and the odd bit of genocide! While waiting for the government to give up ALL the power and ALL the authority so "real" communism can happen.

Imagine being retarded enough to think government's give up power?! XD

Imagine every industry (steel, power plants), railway, space agencies are owned by government and no civilian can open one even if he has money. That's communism.

In a perfect communist society, every civilian is part of state and every resource is state owned, even a little screwdriver. There are no leaders just people assigned their jobs and homes and other shit. Not possible, because a state needs a government and leader.

Also in today's time, no country is perfectly communist or capitalist. They are mixed.

What communism is NOT is anyone who disagrees with you. It's not any country that has taxes. It's a very specific thing. If anyone rebuts it, they should rebut what it actually is and not some straw man of it. One important thing to notice is no country that ever tried to be communist ever actually created a society with no classes. There were always ruling elites.

Imagine you have a workshop that is made for making furniture. Everyone owns it equally. We will all organise when you use it i won't use it and vice versa. Now imagine millions of people trying to do this from different backgrounds who don't care about that. Also on top no policing if i am not correct. Communism is pure retardation it's a terrible idea because it doesn't consider people as they are. On a mass scale communism is terrible because it always ends with people starving to death. Look throughout history whenever you bring it up a communist will say that is not real communism. All the communism being pushed is by lazy people who don't want to work. Free gibs.

Communism is about removing the individual in all sense of the word in society. Society becomes about the commune, at the expense of the individual and individualism. Then the economy is run by the government, justice is run by mob and morality is defined by the largest common denominator. It also inevitably leads to genocide as the group with the highest number will dehumanise any obvious opposition and then exterminate them to avoid any conflicting ideologies to their hegemony.

Basically it's when the government runs everything including telling you where you can work/live. Any system will be flawed because people are flawed. Communism pretty much Gaurantees a few will have complete control over many. It's a much more extreme version of socialism.

To me it doesn't matter what system is in play because the human condition as it is, as well as how people conduct themselves. Corruption is always prevalent. Any idea might seem rational enough but there's alot of irrational self centered people everywhere that will exploit any ism soley for themselves and their agenda.

The human race as a whole has a long way to go before it becomes anything interesting beyond meere survival and self interest via dominance and control to appease lust, greed, and, ego

Mgtow is proof our very nature works against us concerning a better world beyond those who happen to benifit from the current status quo.

Once sexbots become perfected and affordable is when you'll see a complete change in our priorities as a species. Guy's won't persue wealth just to get laid, but rather a meaningful worthwhile passion. And hopefully care for eachother more, instead of just an overpriced hooker/wife

Is the oppossite of Meritocracy.
The reason it fails is because is impossible to calculate an economy or any other equality variable.
Imagine if you would have to think and decide what every cell of your body does every second, your brain would explode, thats what happens with communism it wants to control and calculate everything such as it becomes equal, but is impossible so it always destroys the society is applied to.
What ends up happening in practice is that it incrementaly centralizes the power more and more in a few hands until it becomes a dictatorship.

Communism is a good idea but, sadly, it doesn't work for human beings. We are incapable of holding everything in common and working for the benefit of others. As has been demonstrated time and time again the system is so easy to play the best (worst) player rises to the top and runs everything for themselves.

Communism will never work. There will be people that have to farm food, perform dangerous manual labor, sewage, power plants , people will have to be doctors, you’ll need engineers, you’ll need people to teach people to be engineers and other skills.

What is the point of doing any of those things if you’re to be just as equal to someone stocking shelves or working as grocery bagger. There is no incentive to do anything unless the government forces you otherwise society crumbles without the threat of the gulag.

Also although everything will be expected to be equal some of those hard manual labor jobs women simply can’t do because of biology and it will breed resentment and the whole notion of an equal society falls apart. Why should I bust my back pipe fitting if my equal a woman gets to work a nice cushy secretary job answering phones?

Since the definitions are laid out, i will do sth different and tell you opinions and feelings from me, im 20, but a few decades ago there was communism in my country. Poland had a lot of shit happen, but we rebuild, but communism still stayed in many hearts, even as a flawed system, there was nothing on the store shelves, no store had different prices, you could do overtime and work to your full extent every day, and you would get as much as your friend in the same position who slept through half of the shift, its like a fantasy world a little, but you can see it everywhere here, giant blocks of flats out of slabs, 40+ people in a different mindstate, there were a sort of "foodstamps" To be able to buy food, not to just get it, you needed money and a ticket for stuff, so a mother would trade with a construction worker, toys/chocolate tickets for vodka tickets. Communism barelly worked, but it barelly worked off of the backs of those hopeless idealists who worked themselves off every day for nothing in return. Communism is a system that is good as long as its in the future or past, and my parents and grandparents are living examples of that

"Oh son, i remember when we traded in those tickets and saved some fruit ones, for christmas, on christmas wa s the only time they brought oranges into some shops, it was really nice"

"No, it was awfull, we were quite high in position and my parents had decent jobs and access to the german shops, and i felt like we were below poverty sometimes"
