Met this girl at a party where she asked me for a lighter, kissed me on the cheek to thank me, but forgot to give it back. So I DM her the following day telling her that she owes me a drink for the stolen lighter and got her phone number and set up the date easily. My text game was probably the best yet, as I was so assertive, texted only for logistic and joked only to pass a few easy shit tests.
The date comes around and I feel like a million bucks. I just go for a hug but instead she kisses me on the cheek and my confidence is on an all time high. We sit down for drinks and start talking. After the usual bs small talk I subtly hint about my job and other DOVs (we’re both students so it’s objectively quite impressive) and at this point her eyes are sparkling looking at me literally like the “find someone who looks at you like..” meme. Kino is going well (at least for a beginner like me). I’m holding her hand, hugging her, playing with her hair and we have strong eye contact.
I tell her about some cool shit I have at home and she wants to see it, she talks about her home and stuff I could use... At one point she tells me she’ll escort me back to my place if it’s raining outside since she has an umbrella and I’m thinking that’s the job done.
We finish our drinks and here’s the plan I have: I let her pay (as she “owes me”) and tell her the food is on me (food being pizza at my place of course). The thing is, I can sense she is very uncomfortable with paying for the drinks but it’s too late at that point. I offer her pizza at my place and she denies (literally could see her thought process “like whoah this means sex oh no”). This is likely not a good time to go in for the kiss but I made a promise to myself that I would at least try no matter what as I’ve pussyed out my last date. Shocker, I get rejected. Tried hugging her and putting my forehead on hers but she looked down and broke away. Ik I shouldn’t be phased but this was my first ever time getting a kiss rejected and I kind of went retard mode for like 30 secs trying to compose myself. After that we talked a bit more, I tried not to sound buthurt and kissed on the cheek for good night.

Now this date went about as well as I could have hoped for except for the ending obviously. I’m kind of puzzled if there is something I fucked up at the end? Maybe the drinks but they weren’t too expensive and I was thinking to use them more for an excuse to get pizza at my place. Maybe she’s a virgin but who am I to say with my experience..
How I should proceed with this girl? Text her in the morning or just ignore her? (going by how the date ended I doubt she will be reaching out).
