This post came from a conversation I was having with my friends who I have recently introduced to the redpill/manosphere so I figure I’d share a discussion I just had. I don’t think anything I’m about to say is revolutionary or new but I thought it might be a good read for people who are new to the red pill or maybe even a good refresher for vets.

One concept that didn’t really click with my friends (and myself when I first got into the RP for that matter) off the rip is what a shit test might look like in reality. When you read about it in the community, despite warnings, it sounds like a grand concept that will smack us in the face. However, as many of us know, the opposite is true. Shit tests are most often subtle exchanges that women don’t even recognize they are presenting. A woman (usually) does not say “let me shit test this guy and see how he handles it.” Even though it is not always a conscious effort, the results of these exchanges tally up in their hindbrain and lead to a direct opinion of you, and how much they respect/value you.

Here’s an exchange I had today with a woman that I almost missed. I also want to note that I’m not claiming to be a redpill guru, but this particular girl has to be the most textbook redpill setup I have ever established.

She was complaining about how work was going poorly so I offered a basic “oh that sucks sorry to hear.” Her response was “are you really sorry or are you just saying that to make me feel better?”

Reading that in this post, that is an obvious shit test, but this girl is actually pretty chill and can bust balls so I initially thought nothing of it. I still think there was no ill intention in her conscious brain, but her hind brain definitely delivered it as a shit test. When I finally realized “this could be a shit test” I was actually not 100% convinced until I shot it down. I decided to be a little bit of a dick in my response instead of just being funny/aloof, but her reaction told me I nailed it and I didn’t have to worry about being harsh. I told her “? That’s a weird question. Flip a coin I guess..”

The reason I decided to be a little harsh was because this was one of the first shit tests she has given me (we haven’t been hanging out very long maybe 2-3 months at most and I barely see her once a week) and I wanted to set the precedent that I wasn’t going to entertain stupid questions. I wanted her to feel dumb and realize she just said some dumb shit. She obviously doesn’t realize she was shit testing me, but the next time she has a stupid comment like that she might think twice. She immediately backtracked and apologized and said she was “just being silly” girl code for “whoops you called me on my bullshit” and the topic was changed. No hard feelings. Shit test passed.

Because it was such a subtle shit test, I was initially close to responding with an apology (for absolutely no reason???) and saying “no of course I feel bad duh lol” or some beta shit like that. I’m not even new to the RP or manosphere communities either, so I can only imagine how many new “members” might miss something like that. So I figured I might share this example of a not-so-obvious shit test.

TLDR: shit tests can be very subtle and are often not a conscious effort by a woman. They come in various forms and can be easily overlooked. Keep sharp and don’t be afraid to riposte a woman’s comment you’re unsure about. Even if it wasn’t a shit test you will still be showing your confidence/indifference.
