I never understood men on tv saying stupid shit like “oh I’ll be in the doghouse” or “I’m going to be in trouble with the wife” or “I’m scared my wife will punish me”. What is with this crap. When I was a boy I used to tell people how stupid it was and I’d usually get a response like “you’ll understand later in life” as if men need to be trained and let the woman be in charge.

I worked for a small business, single owner. His wife worked there sporadically. She had the same job, menial administration work to keep her occupied. She would dock pay against labour laws, mostly due to overtime. She demanded to be the contact for our (shop workers) everyday needs like PPE and then forget to order. Anything she screwed up, we would take to the office manager later and get it fixed.

The boss and foreman were having a meeting with a client, and she barges in without knocking to get a signature. He tells her to knock, this is an important meeting, and this signature isn't even important. Then tells her, you know what, just go home, you're fired. I imagine he paid for that later.

She was back after a while, but no longer had any involvement with us in the back.
