I was seeing a guy who was heavily influenced by the "manosphere". After seeing him for a few months, I cut him off and have been recovering since.

The reasons why I concluded that he was heavily influenced by the "manosphere" (even the word itself cringes me tf out), in a chronological manner:

  • 80/20 argument on dating
  • sending me Jordan Peterson and MRA videos, one each
  • "feminism in the west has gone too far"
  • "why do women change their opinions after sex and call it rape"

I told him that he was a misogynist and ended the "relationship". But thinking about all the other little things that he said and the fact that he was seeing 20-year-olds at the age of 32, I feel like I should´ve understood way earlier that he is a sexist and cut him off earlier.

Now, I´m educating myself on these groups of men, so I´ll not be preyed on ("Men Who Hate Women" by Laura Bates is strongly recommended).

How can I spot a misogynist guy influenced by the "manosphere"? What are the early signs? What are their most common arguments? What are your experiences? Any tip would be of help. Thanks in advance
