I've experienced hamstering in pretty much every women I have ever met (unsurprisingly). Some did it very sparingly others had it as a way of life.

For example, one of my exes who I consider to have almost never hamstered at all all through 2 years with me, did it just recently when cheating on his current BF with me.

We recently fucked 2 times while she was in a committed relationship with a "nice guy". She then seemingly felt bad afterwards for like 1-2 days, but then I noticed her spinning the wheels rationalizing that what she did was actually fine because of some supposed character flaws in the other dude (which she just happened to suddenly discover now) and that as such he deserved it or that it wasn't really cheating because blah blah <insert random illogical argument I don't even remember now>. Then when the process is complete she goes back to the dude guilt free genuinely convinced she did nothing wrong...

Then there's that other girl I know who is in pretty much in an abusive relationship with some dude who exploits her financially and has like 10+ other girls/whores on the side who even gave him STDs... they always break up like every 3-4 months but she always goes back and then comes up with stupid rationalizations like "he only behaved like that because he was angry because of ", "I don't break up because I have other problems right now and I don't have energy to deal with this" or "I don't really want to be with him, I'm just temporarily going with the flow and deal with it later", "I only go to his place every day to wash his dishes because his roommates are my friends too and I'm ashamed myself too because of the mess; I'm doing it because of me not because of him" etc.

So, my question is, does reality eventually catch up with these people or once something is rationalized it will stay that way forever for that particular raionalization, meaning these people will never take personal responsibility for the poor decisions they made in the past?
