Started out with match on tinder, they had a video chat and decided they should go on a date.

Date day arrives, and they go to a fancy restaurant. My friend knows a girl who’s a waitress and works there, and she gave him wine samples. My friend wasn’t hungry, so he ends up just enjoying his wine while the date orders food.

They start talking, the conversation goes like this:

Date: “So, do you talk to other girls?”

Friend: “Yes”

Date: “So you’re one of those people who just fucks around?”

Friend: “You know what? You’re kinda rude”

Date: “I’m sorry, it wasn’t meant like that. I’m a direct person”

He just looked at her and then the food she ordered arrives.

She didn’t touch the food, just sat there looking at him. 1-2 minutes passes by, then she proceeds to get up and walks out.

The waitress friend comes to the table and asks him how the date is going. He explains the situation and she asks “who’s going to pay for this?”.

He tells the waitress to reach for the restaurant phone and call the police. Police arrives at the restaurant and talks to my friend. He explains the situation, and they ask for her name. He gives them the full name of the date, and they locate a number associated to her mother. (Mother paid the phone bill. So much for independent woman, right?). The mother apologizes for her daughters behavior. Police says “if your daughter doesn’t come down here and pay the bill, she’ll receive a $500 fine + the charge of the meal”.

Mother agrees to contact the daughter and tells her to go down to the restaurant right away. My friend is now free to leave, and does so.

The next day, he’s interested in knowing how things went. So he contacts the waitress friend.

She tells him that the date came into the restaurant while cops were awaiting her. And she tried to explain away the situation by telling them he willingly suggested paying for the food (something he never agreed to, nor even mentioned).

The girl ends up paying for the meal.

A day goes by, and my friend gets a message from the date. She tells him he owes her $50 - to which in his perfect response, he blocks her straight away and goes on about his day.

GYOW gentlemen. The amount of delusion is incredible.

tl;dr: Friend goes on date with delusional woman. Woman walks off and leaves him with bill. Cops and mother of the date gets involved. Date ends up paying for the meal and demands money from friend.
