I lost my virginity to my LVX, and we loved each other at the time, but we now basically hate each other, and it makes me sad. Like I wanted that special first time to be with my final partner, like that innocent first time being with someone who guides you.

I also hate that I didn't take his virginity; it's like he gets to win in a way. I in general hate that he got to win by not caring how he hurt me while rebounding with some girl with low expectations <2 weeks after dumping me over a text. Especially since he discarded me so easily. I wish I was at least the one to dump him, but admittedly I'm a recovering pickme who let too much stuff slide because deep down, I feel like men will find something wrong with me and leave, or the overwhelming majority of men are LVM, and I felt like I wasn't going to find better. (I know there's better, but they're rare. I'm more willing to wait now.)

I don't know how to feel better about this; that special first time won't be with the final person. It's special because it marks the first time being vulnerable and trusting someone with my body and being cared for. First everything's in general like first kisses are really important to me. I'm not gonna get that caring guidance or novelty sense of wonder again.
