I’ve been dating a woman for over a year now.

It's clear to me that you have no idea what the fuck you are doing. If you have been dating this woman for a year, that means she is (in theory) a "plate", which means you aren't in an LTR (relationship). It takes a year or two to see whether or not a woman is relationship-worthy, let alone if a woman is marriage material. You need a few years of boundary setting with a woman before even considering marriage. It's clear to me you haven't read any of the sidebar material which is located over there >, well, it used to be at least.

The typical response to me saying that is something like, "Yeah but it's best for the kids if they grow up in a marriage..."

Except that premise is flawed for a variety of reasons, the least of which is not that it's based on statistics from old data that does not reflect the current state of things.

If you want to have a family, then have a family, but I have to suggest that you don't get married.

I knew mine was right after 6 months. Go into redpilled and you will be fine. The guys doing it half way through are the ones fighting the uphill battle. 20+ years later and I’m the envy of my neighbors. I’d call her a unicorn, but she’s not…. I stole her from a two year relationship after knowing her for a week. AWALT is a fact. You can beat those odds if your the alpha that she feels she snagged.
