The most common linking factor that drives men off the edge is not simply divorce or a cheating woman, but losing access to his kids. The media never mentions this. I was just reminded of this when listening to one of my favourite bands, Crowded House. The drummer committed suicide some years ago. You really had to dig to find out the truth, that his de facto (common law) wife had removed his children from his life. The media only reported about the dangers of depression in a vague way. Well, nothing makes men more depressed than going from a father to a zero while a stranger lives with his kids and their mother.
