First, this isn't a 'sect.' It is a discussion forum.

The difference? Frankly, not being a bunch of edgy teens who are all 'durr hurr wahmen are evull.'

It's just a more mature environment, and has more mature discussions.

The core ideas are the same, though, I guess.

According to a MGTOW I've encountered not that long ago, this sub is more for the MGTOWs who are done with woman-hating. It's a lot more chill. People talk about their hobbies, life, etc. The MGTOWs here are indifferent to women, rather than woman-haters. Plus, the original MGTOW and TRP is overrun by woman-hating incels.

I said this before on r/MGTOW not expecting to get hate, but I'll say it again. In doing so I kindly ask you to not read my post in a knee-jerky fashion, but with an open mind.

My problem with MGTOW is because "Going Your Own Way" is all-inclusive, it doesn't exclude incels or PUAs. So then what are you supposed to do when they start infiltrating and taking over your forum? The fact that the Incels who constantly complain about "Chad Thundercock" instead of following the MGTOW premise of self actualization became admins is a serious case of entryism for what we aren't, and pushes actual MGTOWS away from the movement.

I almost completely decoupled myself from the movement after finding out that there was such a thing as going your own way the "wrong" way. This is also post redpill rage area where the other one seems to be filled with a lot of redpill raged people (which is quite normal when one takes the redpill). I see it as graduating from first into this one when the rage eventually subsides.

I thought of MGTOW as some sort of self-realization. I viewed it as what would happen after the red-pill rage and moving on with yourself. Improving yourself and others around you. Now I don’t quite understand what has happened. I hate to say it but it almost looks like incels have taken over.

In my opinion, this sub is basically an attempt to separate the men from the boys, Reddit style. Original sub is still valuable but is becoming obnoxious and less productive.
