I have officially joined the club today. I was banned from MGTOW for agreeing with a post questioning the focus on women-hating. The title is spot on because I totally lost respect for the mods, and I don't consider their subreddit reflecting men really going their own way.

Yeah. I just got bored of lurking and reading the same old ranting over and over. So when this version 2.0 appeared, I had a look and decided it's a better fit for me.

It seems from where I'm standing that MGTOW 1.0 is on meth and bath salts... all foaming at the mouth, wild directionless rage. MGTOW 2.0 is just chilling on the couch with a Xanax and a joint, mulling shit over, exploring alternate ideas and viewpoints e.t.c.

I originally joined the mgtow sub as there were “success” stories of guys bouncing back and getting over shit, occasionally funny memes and discussions that weren’t totally one sided.

Now it’s mostly guys just preaching hate as women don’t want them as opposed to guys who don’t want relationships due to experiences.

Most, if not all of us are here because we came from the main MGTOW subreddit. We either got banned like you because we didn't just subscribe to every misogynist narrative that is spewed there on a daily basis, or were put off by the sheer level of misogynist circle jerking.

Having said that, I do believe in AWALT. AWALT to me is not just female nature, it's human nature. Humans are naturally self interested. We generally don't do things against our own self interest if we can avoid it.

Take one of these unicorns you think you know, put them in a situation where they marry a guy who loses his job, motivation, and only wants to work at mcdonalds when he originally made over 50k. That's one of a million ways to reveal their true nature. They can't love like the Disney movies make us out to believe. It's always conditional.

They won't always be extremely attracted to you like the first few months of the relationship, not if certain conditions aren't met. Even if they stay with you, often times it's not out of love but out of comfort.

Put any human being in a situation where there is a clear better option and it's easy to abandon an option that they think is not within their best interest and you'll see their true nature.

For NAWALT to be true you'd have to have a woman that doesn't act like a human being. She'd literally have to be some alien with blind loyalty and a sex drive to one man that never dulls. She'd have to never want better, never contemplate being with anyone else NO MATTER WHAT.

If you truly think these women are NAWALT's ask them one by one what things they would leave their husband over. Hook them up to a polygraph and start going over different scenarios.

You only get a NAWALT when it is the path of least resistance, like chameleon Asian women who are 100x sweeter than western women until they get married.

Thinking that NAWALT's exist is putting women on this huge, unreasonable pedestal. Women are human beings. Human beings are self interested. Therefore, AWALT.

I had the exact same situation. I was very confrontional with the people on MGTOW because AWALT and no matter what you think AWALT. That's is so fucking stupid. First I got attacked, then they banned me for no apparent reason, then the mods ditch me, and that's why I'm here. I don't want to to be part of MGTOW where the majority is women shitpost. Also you can't put every single women on planet earth on a basket, that doesn't work like that, that is brainwashing. I can tell that r/MGTOW on it's majority is full of shit incels and whatnot. They say all women are hypergamous, but men are fucking too. Men want a beatiful girl who is fertile that is intelligent that knows how to do the house work, take care of kids and we aren't going to settle for less. I'm very fucking picky.

Is a women going to marry a broken ass nigga? I don't think so. Is a man going to marry a useless wife with no good attributes? The hipocrisy is real. I think MGTOW is modern day feminism. It started with a good idea of equality but now it's just complain and nag and make shit up.

Join the club.... It only took me 2 weeks to get banned from r/MGTOW for trying to have an intelligent conversation on stereotypes, Pretty much what you discussed in your post. It is sad to say that MGTOW has been taken over by intolerant people who just want to piss and moan.

I think they are playing right into the hands of people who want to label the group as radicals..... It will kill MGTOW's reputation, giving people plenty of ammunition to discredit the group.

You're right. There are men calling themselves migtowers, but instead of improving, they use the idea to hate women. MGTOW idea is to live for yourself, do what makes you happy and forget to think about women and try not to need them the most as possible and also not get married. They may be hijackers thinking that we are some movement that wants some kind of political change.

And let me point you something. NAWALT. Sure not all women are like this, we can use as example Hellen Smith from "Men on strike". But remember that even NAWALT women gets the same benefits from the law. They will also take everything from you.

But it doesn't mean you have to hate them. Just work yourself not to need them.

I subscribe to the AWALT theory (and hence monk mode for the rest of my life which I am 100% okay with), but I'm not writing about that here. I do agree about the MGTOW subreddit as a whole. I actually made the move to unsub from it. I used it to shape my psyche and heal from a massive breakup I had, used it to let out some RP-Rage but it's been two years and now I'm just tired of reading about hate on women. I'd rather learn about effective things to do with my life or life tips or something from other dudes or just shoot the shit in a thread, idk.

The main MGTOW subreddit is essentially entirely woman hate and is basically the "sand filter" in a water filtration system if you will, and the men who really want to improve their lives from being MGTOW will make their ways to /r/GentlemenOnly and /r/MGTOW2, etc. The ones who don't are stuck in MGTOW forever and perpetuating the hate, or get back into relationships and fuck themselves over again repeatedly, etc etc.

Women are people too, if mostly shitty people, and it's up to men to interact with them or not, but it's getting to the point there where it's bordering on ridiculous stuff.

A point on AWALT though: I'd keep not believing in it on the down-low, cause most men in the MGTOW-oriented subreddits do believe that, so you'll basically get shit on all the time. Of course not all women are like that (just like not all men are rapists, etc) but are you gonna dig through an acre wide, three foot high pile of cow shit that's full of bear traps for the one maybe real diamond? That's how I look at it anyway. It's not worth my life or my money to sexually interact with women.

I think you are mistaking a large number of incels for MGTOW on the main subreddit.

Most incels won't be able to recognize or admit they are incels, and they inadvertently call themselves MGTOW as a byproduct. It's literal cognitive dissonance. What's funny is that they'll call others incels but can't recognize their own behaviour.

As for the rest, MGTOW also has its fair share of MGTOW whom are still in their rage phase. I still experience a decent amount of anger, and I really don't blame others for being so pissed. MGTOW also provides a lot of those guys the ability to blow off steam, and know there are others out there that don't buy the bullshit either. Even the sidebar states that the sub is a hospital.

The positive to negative ratio of posts in that sub isn't the greatest and it could use some more self improvement related material, but at the same time most of what can be said has already been said. There are plenty of books, workout plans, etc. floating around between MGTOW and TRP. Every now and then a really solid post or two shows up, but for the most part the posts just help to serve as interaction between like minded individuals.

I do appreciate the articles and random media stories that get posted, because they help serve as warnings for what type of shit and nonsense to avoid. It helps warn of some of the latest trends of bullshit that media, and feminism, put out to chain down others and destroy lives.

Personally I got what I needed from MGTOW and TRP. I browse them when I'm bored or need to kill time. If I were able to provide anything of positive value to MGTOW I would, but as it stands now I have nothing to give besides my positive thoughts for my fellow man, and a little bit of salt when something really pisses me off.

Why are we concerned with labels, and the intention of association with said labels, when MGTOW is about going one's own way, which means MGTOW is what YOU make yourself to be.

Some women are not the same, just as much as how not all MGTOW are the same. I'm married but use a highly functional approach to life which is similar to MGTOW.

Get banned for saying I disagreed with tormenting a woman on one account and they labelled my account as a threat on a big post, got some private messages about why certain people hated me. A lot of pain on that subreddit.

What I find weird is for a post that talks about freedoms and being a man, they sure do bitch about women a lot
