We get on women for thinking that they're unique, special snowflakes- that the rules don't apply to them- that their uniquely personal qualities mean that everything you've learned about human nature in general simply doesn't apply to them specifically.

Here's the thing, though: guys do it to.

Hell, I do it. As far as I'm concerned, the whole world exists as a stage for The Guurzak Show, Starring Guurzak. There probably isn't one of you reading this who doesn't feel the same way to some degree.

And, in all honesty and humility, I am unique, extraordinary, exceptional. I am way smarter than average, wiser than the vast majority, able to more clearly see which parts of a problem are essential and which are red herrings more quickly and accurately than anyone I've ever met. The temptation to think that I can beat the odds, that I can safely disregard the advice that I would give to anyone else, is always present.

And whenever I start to think that, I quickly find out that I am wrong. The fact that I am special does not mean that I exist in a different reality. I'm interacting with the same women every other guy does. I'm living in the same world. The same shit happens to me when I do something stupid. There are lots and lots of other guys out there who are also exceptional in one way or another- but we're all just guys anyway.

When you catch yourself thinking "that may be true for other guys, but my situation is different"... you're wrong. Slap yourself, remind yourself that you piss, shit, and fuck up just like every other guy out there even despite whatever it is that makes you unique, and tell yourself to quit snowflaking.

Yeah, you're unique.

Just like everyone else.
