Hey guys. Can anyone offer their experience here? Married 29 years. One day she says she's leaving. She makes all of the money and she left thinking that I'd be financially screwed without her. As it's turning out, she's going to have to pay child support and spousal support, and she's super pissed about it. She wants to agree to 50-50 custody. The problem is my 16 year old son who is homeschooling because of the pandemic, would be at her crappy little apartment alone all day. It isn't in his best interest to be with her. She never listens to reason, and won't be deterred from pursuing 50-50 custody. She's destroyed our family and has some incoherent fiction as an explanation. My frustration Guage is in the red. Doesn't my son have a voice in where he lives? He hates it there for many reasons, and the only reason he goes at all is for her. She guilts him into going and then he calls me saying that he wants to come home.
Our family home has everything he could want. His room is better and cooler than any teenager should have. This is a huge PITA for him. He doesn't want to hurt her feelings, which I think shows loyalty and makes me proud of him

So what can be done to amplify my son's voice that he shouldn't have to pay for her terrible judgment.?
