I got several 2nd opinions from several different attorneys. A couple of them were 'high profile' and could cite state statute off the top of their heads. Very smart attorneys.

Each of them had a very common theme that I should go pro se on resetting my child support. One attorney told me that he'd happily take my money but it's simple math on a basic form.

Earlier this week, I checked out the form....and it was easy. Everything was online and simple to complete. The only dragging point was to gather the documentation and support for my filing.

So, I'm going pro se (self representation) because math. The state gives guidelines on what child support should be based on income and child care should be paid on actual receipts.

So...now I wait for the perfect timing on serving my ex-wife....I have to serve her at least 21 days before the hearing. If there is no hearing and the court accepts my filing without protest, then that's awesome.
