As a dad who usually sees his kid 50% of each week, I have to say that I think she's way, way better off being able to see both of us. And I'm not dissing her mom. She benefits from her relationship with both of us.

Wow. But for COVID misinformation and not misandry.

So the clementine fords of the world can continue their all men must die campaign. Great.

[+]P_January -15 points-14 points-13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think that the “all men must die” campaign is as real as covid.

To be fair, she is pretty stupid....

[–]Angryasfk 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Noooooooooooo. How could you say such things about a feminist icon? You’ll be attacking Gloria Steinem next.

To be fair, she is pretty very stupid....

Fixed it.

Wolf has falsely claimed that vaccines are a “software platform that can receive uploads,” and reportedly compared the nation’s top infectious diseases expert, Anthony Fauci, to Satan.

But feminists are bastions of truth. They would never lie!

The central thesis of her book got debunked live on air by an interviewer. After she had written most of it.

Get things wrong? Misrepresenting the past? Saying things that aren’t true because she hasn’t done basic research? Nooooooo. It can’t be surely. Not big name feminist would ever possibly do such things!!!! It’s everybody else that must be at fault!!!! /s

Wow a radical feminist and an anti vaxer. Now I've seen everything.

[–]Mycroft033 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What about a feminist/anti-vaxxer/flat-earther?

[–]Millicent_the_wizard 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No fucking way

[–]Mycroft033 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I met one once, she said she was suspicious of all those government agencies because they were run by men, so she refused to believe anything they said. And of course any scientific evidence was ‘constructed by men to oppress the masses’

[–]usku 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sadly banned for being antivax not for being a man hating pos?

Sign of our times.

[–]shit-zen-giggles 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

I'll take an unpopular stance here:

Twitter shouldn't be allowed (as in legally) to deny people service based on their views or political affiliations. No phone company is allowed to do it. The postal service isn't allowed to do it. And neither should Twitter.

I understand that many people here find it satisfying to wittness it happening to a feminist. I feel you. I had the same initial reaction.

[–]Amazing-Row-5963 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Totally agree. 100 hundred percent. I have never supported Trump, but when they banned him? Imagine banning your president, cyberpunk is becoming real. Corporations should not have that much power.

[–]Angryasfk 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They also censored the New York Post in a fairly clear attempt to bury the Hunter Biden laptop story. That looks a lot like an attempt to manipulate a Presidential election, and much more “rigging” than the things brought to the courts! But this was a “mistake” apparently! Perhaps the mistake was not realising that Dems may realise this could be made against them too if they don’t follow the line that these people decide, and so now he’s backpedaling!

[+]WingsofSky -9 points-8 points-7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Trump was inciting his nutcase followers to commit horrible crimes. Including murder, sedition among other things.

[–]LittleThinket 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Show this.

[–]Angryasfk 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually I agree with that. She’s not calling for violence or murder, or plotting common law crimes. But Twitter is a heavily biased platform, with very clear double standards (love the way Dorsey claims some very clear examples of them censoring for political effect was a “mistake”). The question is why Twitter decided to suspend Wolfe? Was it to make their actions against others look good? Or was it that her claims were so way out even being a leading feminist wasn’t enough for the “progressives” to let her off?

[–]Drunkentraitor -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

comparing apples and oranges to be fair

the phone company or postal service arent delivering your content to potentially millions of people.

i completely agree that twitter shouldnt be allowed to deny people service because of political views and genuine opinions, but outright provable medical lies and conspiracies are a different beast.

twitter should keep the conspiracy theorists and nutters and link each steaming pile they deposit to the actual confirmed medical facts. denying them service just makes them digital martyrs

most conspiracies are very similar so a few general covid facts pages with links to the research and the debunk articles wouldnt be too hard to do.

[–]JoeSmith1907 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I keep hearing and seeing the term "conspiracy theorist." I have no idea what that means. How am I supposed to know what is and is not a legitimately arguable point, or how do I know what's an actual confirmed fact when experts disagree and when the media has an agenda.

[–]LittleThinket 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My thoughts exactly.

[–]Drunkentraitor 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

covid is a brilliant example.

almost all of the antivax antimask conspiracies are derived from the same few posts and white papers and the same few idiots spreading them.

what i would suggest is actually reading the source material. the one about pfizer vaccine causing prions in the brain because of a single mercury atom is a prime example.

read the original paper, and it is obviously a disjointed ramble through irrelevant research with nothing to do with covid, masks, mercury or prions.

how many people read that paper? why should they, as the facebook post they trusted lists out of context quotes that seem quite reasonable in isolation.

what you're supposed to do, is read the evidence, not blindly accept the conclusion of anyone, friend foe or media.

[–]maxlvb -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

FTFY...

Twitter shouldn't be allowed (as in legally) to selectively deny people service based on their views or political affiliations.

Twitter doesn't do blanket bans, they pick and choose who to ban...

[–]fernando_spankhandle -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Phone companies are allowed to deny people access to their services. They can deny marketeers, abusive callers, etc. Whether they choose to is a different matter.

If we have people posting content, these messages have to be stored, that creates harm. This content should be removed. The service provider has responsibility for that harm as they create revenue from the service provided. Else they are profiting from harm.

Deplatforming is critical. Yes it's dangerous, if abused by an aberrant government like China. But equally you can't have the opposite.

[–]JoeSmith1907 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fernando, It's one thing to prevent fraud or threats. But harm in the abstract is more complicated. Twitter has a track record of deplatforming people who don't agree with Jack Dorsey's political views.

You mention harm. But how is Twitter going to determine what causes harm. What if Jack Dorsey thinks that anyone who transmits something that doesn't agree with his political views or sociological views or medical views is causing harm. So deplatforming can be dangerous whether it's abused by a government or a private carrier with an outsized market share.

[–]fernando_spankhandle 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And Twitter is a private entity. We could argue for regulation, which makes sense, which would make deplatforming a regulatory decision. So then we place trust in the government that we vote for.

If you're concerned about Trump being deplatformed then we have very different politics.

Ultimately, what obligation does Dorsey have to anyone? He can deplatform whoever he likes. Noone os obliged to use his free service.

[–]Adanu0 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This isn't an unpopular post. More of a disease targeting the right person by accident.

Too many people give these services their time to die.

[–]LittleThinket 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I only know her for her covid info. Now I need to Google her and find see this for myself.

[–]LittleThinket 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men's rights and I see no bashing. What I do see are people defending her rights of free speech. This kind of behavior is what separates the genuine from the heretics. You are too good sometimes people ☺️
