Maybe the approach was creepy. But we all have to start somewhere. If you have focused practice where you approach a girl, then take a few minutes to think about what went well and didnt, you will improve. Make sure you then try again and again.
It sounds like you're young. I didnt get into PUA and TRP until I was late 20s. Follow the advice and you'll see miracles in a few years. Trust in the sidebar. Keep going out and practicing.
