Malta is a democratic country in the European Union. In the last 8 years we have had a socialist government. I agree with many of the actions taken by the Socialists (these are the equivalent of the Democrats in the USA).

However the Socialists are now doing things which not only are undemocratic and sexist : they are giving a section of the population (women) more rights to be given parliamentary seats than men.

It is preposterous that in Malta if a political party does not manage to elect enough women, laws will kick in to elect women to parliament even if the people have not voted for them.

THIS IS DICTATORSHIP!
