This is one of the dumbest things people consistently complain about and treat as sexism of the highest magnitude. It's really telling how privileged women have become that one of the most consistent things feminists complain about is women being called "female."

I see "male" used in an awkward way 100% as often as I see "female" used in an awkward way. Either word is fine as an adjective (i.e. "I have 3 female coworkers."), and either word is awkward as a noun (i.e. "I'm going to go talk to that female across the bar."). And I see people awkwardly using "male" as a noun just as often as I see people awkwardly using "female" as a noun.

But imagine my surprise when society takes something which happens to both men and women, focuses on it when it happens to women and ignores it when it happens to men, and concludes rampant misogyny.

I've told this story before, but I'll throw it in here again. I've seen an AITA post where someone said "our discord server has X male members and Y female members", and caught a ton of flak in the comments for his misogynistic use of "female", everyone ignoring that he used "male" in the same way, in the same sentence. The same week, I saw another post on AITA where someone repeatedly referred to a pair of people as "a woman and a male". I scoured the comment section, and I did not see a single comment point this out. "Male" and "female", both used correctly in the same sentence? Misogynist. "Woman" used correctly and "male" used incorrectly? Nothing to see here, carry on, no sexism here."

People are idiots.

There are a lot of people on international social medias that aren't native english speakers so they don't know majoritarily connotations of words like female.

As long as feminists keep spreading misandry, further discrimination towards males and keep doing hate speeches against boys and men, I won't refrain from referring to feminists as females. I only refer to non-feminist women as women.

Yeah, sociopath (towards boys and men) perfectly fits for almost all feminists.

Honestly, the term "male" is used just as much, if not more than female because of the social stigma against using the term female. I have never once seen the word male in a comment and thought "fUcKInG fEmCeL", it's a biological term to describe a woman. So fucking what.

I don't see any reason to use female as a noun.

That being said, I do not get how this comment makes any sense under that post...

"Pretty sure there was a post in r-MenAndFemales where a super insecure douchebag posted all these screenshots of women using male/woman and acting like he uncovered a conspiracy to enslave all men.

Yeah, exactly. Most of the techniques used by feminists such as gaslighting, belittling, etc are actually techniques used by abusers. It's pretty damn sad to see this, and is the reason feminism is so... vile to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure 'female' is the adjective form of the noun 'woman'. So for instance "The firefighter was a woman" (noun) becomes "The female firefighter" (adjective). It is true that "woman" generally applies only to humans, where "female" can also refer to animals and even some tools (nuts and bolts etc.). Just one of the strange qualities of the English language. It is demonstrably not sexist though, because exactly the same quirk applies to "man" and "male". How university educated feminists can confuse English grammar with the most extreme sexism genuinely baffles me. I can only assume they were too busy studying logic and data analysis, and missed the class on English grammar.
