In Michigan, on November 15, thousands of women become "Deer Hunting Widows". Some years, I become one too. Opening day of rifle season is a big deal in the mitten state. Men head off to deer camp, and lonely widows head off to the bar for a "Girl's Night Out". This year, even though Mr. Strom was out of town working, and not actually hunting, I joined a couple of my female (non-RP) friends for a foray into the scariest place on Earth: the male strip show.
I'm going to be vague about which show we went to; lets just say that this was at a larger indoor venue, ~4,000 women were in attendance. Most of these women were in dire need of a diet and exercise plan, a personal shopper, and a good beautician. The average SMV was 4. (I was looking AMAZING in comparison, even in jeans and a sweater.)
Being a health and fitness nut, the show was pretty cool. Some of the men were obviously gymnasts and weightlifters before they became strippers. (To be fair, there was very little "dancing" and what little there was very not very coordinated.) That really was fun to watch. And there was a small comedy element to it; they'd tease and taunt the women they had on stage. They even came into the crowd and "danced" for money. One even jiggled his well-toned ass on my lap (I didn't give him any money, I'm guessing it was a freebie for not being a walking FPS story. Yes, I felt his ass. Mr. Strom's is firmer.)
But mostly, this was the single most disturbing thing I've ever witnessed in my entire life. There isn't enough eye bleach on the internet to make me forget what I saw. The men were all easily 9s. Not enough chest hair or beard action for my tastes, but easily still very attractive. Fifteen, well-toned, incredibly attractive, probably gay men in a sea of beached whales and snow cows. And from the way these women conducted themselves, you'd think they'd never laid eyes on a man before. It was like watching sharks in a feeding frenzy.
At three+ points in the show, the MC called out "hot seat", which was an invitation for any woman who had a $20 bill to go up on stage and get a very public "lap dance". I'm surprised no one was trampled in the stampede. At least 40 women each time raced to the stage (this is in addition to the roughly 500 women who purchased VIP passes to get on stage when they bought their tickets.) The men would then take the ladies money and give her a "thrill". Thrills ranged from simulated, forced, blow jobs (he would literally grab the back of her head and slam her face into his half-dressed crotch) to picking her up in her chair and dry humping her, to kissing them full on the mouth or feeling her up/taking her hand and her feel him up.
As I sat there, it occurred to me that most of these women will NEVER get this much attention from an attractive male again in their lives, without paying for it again. They were paying for attention from men that would not bed them; paying for "thrills" that they would shame their husbands/boyfriends/strangers for trying. They were paying for the Alpha experience only to go home to their poor husbands and boyfriends who will never be able to make their lady parts tingle quite like the strippers did. They're going home to be disappointed, day in and day out. Female hypergamy in action: alpha fux, beta bux.

Math time. My ticket was $14 plus a $5 fee from the venue. I had a pretty mediocre ticket. I wasn't in the nosebleed section, but I wasn't front row either, and the show was SOLD OUT. So just in ticket revenue, we're talking roughly $56,000 just in ticket sales (based on an average $14 ticket). PLUS another $13,000 from the roughly 650 women who went up on stage at $20 a pop (VIP and hot seat). I'm not going to count the "thrills" in the stadium seating, because coming up with an accurate guess is impossible. So... $69,000. One show. Two hours. Only fifteen men.
I'm still gobsmacked.
