When famous people like Dua Lipa post such ridiculous radical feminist statements, it influences a huge number of young girls and makes them believe that men are the cause for everything. Truly disgusting that an individual’s actions are being attributed to ‘Toxic Masculinity’.

A state in India is releasing prisoners serving ‘life sentences’ just because they’re female. Truly saddening.

One of the girls at my previous high school reposted this. Imagine being so ungrateful towards someone who pays for your tuition at university and everything in life has been given to you by your dad. I don’t disagree with some dads being assholes but that doesn’t mean all dads are bad.

Masculinity is not toxic. This perpetuates the myth that all women are good and all men are bad. Is there such a thing as Toxic Femininity?

[–]im_just_dreamy 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes there is but feminists ignore its existance. Groups like MGTOW and Mens Rights actually adress the issue of toxic femininity and how to avoid it

[–]hydreigon17 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

i've seen femenist pages on instagram post things about avoiding toxic femininity. I don't think it's fair to say everyone who identifies with femenism ignores men's issues and problems with feminism.

[–]im_just_dreamy 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry, im more talking about the authleft extreme feminists of the modern wave. Feminism is extremely complex

[–]MrHupfDohle 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same thing that happens to mgtow right now. I support the original idea, but idiots occupied the movement and it got turned into hating shit stuff.

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Toxic masculinity is just code for "things men do that women don't directly benefit from". It's an exercise in entitlement.

[–]40moreyears 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I, personally, don’t see how behaving in line with one’s gender can be toxic. But I guess I’m not in the right circles 🤷‍♂️

[–]Johny_Scene 15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

But I bet she still has a Facebook account with 600 friends.

[–]accidental_me 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Is 600 friends many or few?

[–]VileInsidias 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She’d know about four of them in real life.

[–]PurpleHawk222 11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wtf, this happened like a decade ago? Why is it being brought up now? oh that’s right because shitty cancel cultural

[–]Dnile1000BC 8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This is not a radical feminist statement. It's just a feminist statement.

[–]Lion_amongst_gods 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What is even the difference?

[–]d_nijmegen 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think that's his point

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Non radical feminists don't have any influence in academia or politics.

[–]DontSmileValkyrie 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Definitely radical, there’s a huge difference between feminists. It’s fair to say it was childish and shitty to do this ranking but blaming men for something unrelated is either extreme or blatantly stupid, probably both

[–]Lion_amongst_gods 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ok. Then, quit Facebook and Instagram and whatsapp, and prove that you're not perpetrating "toxic masculinity" (which isn't a thing actually)...

[–]TracyMorganFreeman 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"A man did it, so it must be due to masculinity"

"Wait except all the things I take for granted in modern society that makes my life easy and fulfilling. Also the things gay men do. And transmen. And when women do otherwise masculine things."

As girlwriteswhat so succinctly pointed out, "[Feminists] aren't blaming men, they're just naming everything they hate after them"

[–]Jbrawlman448 7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Famous is a bit of a stretch since I have zero idea who that is

[–]DigitalisEdible 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

She’s a pop singer who’s famous in the UK and Europe and has had several number 1 hits. It’s a shame because she’s done some bangers tbh, as far as pop music goes I really like her sound.

But yeah she’s full on the feminist train, her new album was decent until the last track which is basically Feminism: The Song. The lyrics even include the word “mansplained”. (Here’s the lyrics) It’s not good.

[–]BeastyDank 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She also considers herself the ‘female alpha’ in the song future nostalgia.

[–]FinallyReborn 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

damn I actually liked her and her music, but most famous female pop stars identify as feminists, or share a lot of similarities as one.

[–]C2074579 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A lot of women are so sexist and they don't even realize it. Lmfao.

[–]justinandashley2 points 6 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What if she had said the same thing about his racial group? Who would she sound like? Isn't this just another form of that argument?

Catastrophically foolish if she truly believes it, horrifyingly evil if she doesn't believe it but says it for attention and internet points.

[–]Dr4g0nW4g0n 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Mm yes female alpha says boys will be boys 🤷‍♂️

[–]Dr4g0nW4g0n 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sorry for emoji, I'd like it to be :ccshrug: from a discord server lol

[–]C2074579 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because rating an individual of the opposite sex on attractiveness is purely a masculine thing to do, right? Lol. And it was the ranking website that 'destroyed' democracy. It's so obvious I mean of course. Lmfao.

[–]DontSmileValkyrie 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So first of all YOU should be putting more thought into your argument next time like trying to understand what you reply to. And make it easier to read while you’re at it. But how is me putting less thought into it gonna help? I understand there’s a lot of hate on the sub and yes it’s problematic. But when ppl struggle they sometimes go on a rant which should be taken into consideration. When I said you should think about it the other way around you were meant to just imagine how furious feminists would be. Never said anyone blamed women. Bit less ignorance and hate from your side might help if you find the sub so hateful. PS. I’m a woman, so pls don’t hate men now

[–]Nerfixion -1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Oh i didn't know this sub covered lizardmen's rights too! How inclusive.

[–]BeastyDank 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s not what I was implying. The term toxic masculinity is used so often and in the wrong context nowadays that it’s just sad.

[–]Nerfixion 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Relax mate, everyone knows what you mean.

[+]ItsYourPalAl-3 points 6 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but that is an example of toxic masculinity, so the girl in this post is actually right. She didn’t say anything about all men being toxic, just how toxic masculinity has consequences. Plus if anything that is toxic gets attributed to the problem (i.e toxic masculinity) rather than the general group (i.e men), then that’s how it should be

[–]thefudmaster 25 points26 points27 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’ll second that rating women in attractiveness isn’t toxic. Women do it to men as well as its part of the mating game.

Zuckerberg was in college as well and paid for what he did there. Bringing up the fact 15 years later is a far reach.

There no inherent toxic femininity or masculinity. It’s a blanket statement lazy people use to blame an entire population for their past actions.

[–]destarolat 22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Rating women for how attractive they are is not toxic.

[–]accidental_me -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

You antisemitic Nazi!

[–]DontSmileValkyrie 2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Sorry what?

[–]accidental_me 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Zuckerberg is a Jew. So, Miss Lipa is an anti-semite. Mr. Sugarmountain might look like a person you can despise, white and male, but according to the new intersectional rules he gets a lot of victim points for being a Jew. Besides, you never say negative things about the Jews, that has been the rule number one since about 1946. And don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less about his identity and one of my best friends is a Jew. But these are the rules and miss Lipa broke them.

[–]DontSmileValkyrie 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So that means you can’t criticize anyone anymore just because he’s a Jew? So first of all that’s stupid because it means you can’t say anything about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict even though I am pretty sure Palestinian war victims do have a lot of victim points. And now think about what you’re doing by saying we cannot criticize Zuckerberg BECAUSE he’s a Jew. It means you want to treat him differently BECAUSE he’s a Jew. Rings a bell? Lastly, if you ignore that her comment is stupid af it still does not make her an anti-Semite since she didn’t base her criticism on him being a Jew.

[–]accidental_me 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Irony isn't easy.

[–]DontSmileValkyrie 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah I can see that, maybe you should go practice so that it’s actually funny

[–]accidental_me 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Irony isn't necessarily funny, I didn't try to be funny.

But you're just hostile. Think about it. Is that what you want to be?

This is the last time I'll answer to you or read anything you say. So, just think about, don't bother answering.

[+]helloooooz69 -7 points-6 points-5 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Are you people serious ? Cuz Facebook was designed to rate people and to lash out at dua lipa is stupid. Why do you all get so hurt so easily?!? You are only claiming “toxic feminist” because you are hurt. Someone explain to me why every man on here is so hurt? And explain to me why YOU WANT TO DIVIDE YOURSELVES?!?

[–]DontSmileValkyrie 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Just try to imagine it the other way around, men blaming women for a failure of democracy. Ain’t fair huh? This sub tends to overreact but that is to be expected due to lots of emotions. What is wrong with you, let ppl express what bothers them. That’s literally what this place is for

[–]helloooooz69 -2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is clearly a place of hate tho that’s what I can’t understand and plz tell me I’m wrong but who the fuck are you to say men start blaming women for democracy? Seriously put less thought into an argument next time. And this is what I can’t understand about this sub and plz try to explain it too me cuz I thought you were all big tough men who didn’t show emotion? Well guess what showing emotions is making you hurt women and if you can’t see that than idk what will happen with men as a whole cuz lately from reading this sub reddit I hate what my fellow men look like and it makes me sick the divide you want to create and explain if you can but I no you won’t cuz you can’t.
