This is what I got yesterday from some coward who messaged me privately. I don't even know who this random moron is, as it never wrote any public comments on any of my posts or replies, but based on its last sentence it might have gone around harassing other MRA's and / or male rape victims

It wouldn't be worth pointing out, except that for me it's not the first time I've gotten messages or responses like this (either online or IRL). Over the years, I've found that unfortunately it comes with the territory of being a man / boy raped by a woman

Often people either assume that it's not true because "women don't do things like that!"--partly why the abuse by my mother and her friends went on for so long, because no one would listen or do anything to stop it. Or they assume that even if it is true, who cares because it's just "not the same" and guys supposedly don't get traumatized by sexual abuse the way gals do

Sometimes I'll hear people claim that there's no double standard, that male victims get treated the same as female victims (and even some clowns who say they have it easier because society favors men or some nonsense). But attitudes like these are still alive and well, just like I saw them back when the abuse was going on 17 years ago. There are some people who literally believe that women don't rape men /boys, that it's a non-issue if they do, and who even become angry if you're a male victim and open up about your experiences

I think this is classic cognitive dissonance, since they cannot actual reconcile the information that hey, males can be raped, in their heads they just get angry and attack you. Why they have a belief that strong about such is...weird.
