So I used OKC a year or so ago, around the time I started lurking on a lot of the TRP sites/blogs. So from my observations/experiences...

It's full of 5s who think they're 8s or 9s because of the attention they get, and decide they can be as picky as a 10. Most women are about 30% heavier (at least) than they show in their pics, and a lot of the chubbies call themselves "average", while the whales believe they're "curvy".
Short profiles work way better than long ones. Leave more to the imagination.
If you're good at cooking, mention that offhand on a date or in a conversation, but not in your profile, otherwise it's like making a trail of M&Ms for the fatties.
Copy pasta really doesn't get a lot of responses. Messages over 2 sentences don't either. Just glance only through the very end of the profile, write a quick, snarky one liner on some obscure thing in there - I've found that most successful.
A ton of women say in their profiles that they aren't interested in guys who post pics of their abs/muscles. They forget this once they see a body that's in decent shape. (Or a good pair of calves/quads.)
Never, ever, ever date anyone on there who admits to having cats. Jesus fucking christ. I didn't particularly care about cats one way or another, but after missing that giant red flag twice and fucking two girls who both turned out to be crazy cat lady in the making - ugh. I'll admit I dated one for almost two weeks just because of the blowjobs, but otherwise it was painful. Actually, it was fucking entertaining to see how upset she got any time I made any smartass remark about her cat. I could have called her a trashy whore with a used up cunt, or said her cat was fucking stupid, and she'd lose her cool at the second comment.
Young single moms. No no no no. I thought they might be easy pump and dump targets, but take the typical single mother's sense of entitlement, add the ego boost/extra entitlement that comes from all the attention on OKC, and they're impossible to deal with.
Grad students seem to be the easiest when it comes to adding new fuckbuddies. I haven't met one over a 6 yet, but they're usually pretty busy with their studies to the point that they don't have much of a social/sex life themselves, and the three I dated all admitted they joined mainly because they almost never stepped out of their offices. So they're particularly desperate for attention, and put out fairly quickly.
Easy/typical first date that I found most successful - just meet up at a museum/art gallery early in the evening, walk through it, maybe grab a coffee - then if she was reasonably good looking and things clicked, we'd grab a drink nearby.

That said, I got tired of it a while back, and at best it's a supplement to pickup. Definitely not as good as just going out there and improving your game.

One thing I've had success with.

Take one of your plates who is willing to do a 3some. Work on her for weeks until she is willing to find one. I have used my own plate to find girls on OKC. I straight up message them that I have a fuck buddy who thought they were hot, so I'm messaging them. The fact a girl thinks they're hot is new for them.

I straight up ask them if they are interested in a 3some with me and my girl; and many are at least interested. I also have turned some into steady plates.

It's all about the hook.

It's great. It takes women who would never be agreeable to being fuck buddies and turns them into fuck buddies because now it's "dating". Being realistic about the girls you try to pull (almost always you will be dating down, but who the fuck cares right?) and put a little effort into researching how to appear as a high value male are all you need. Aside from that it's a numbers game so just make sure you are messaging a ton of people. You will have a blast! Pretty much anyone but the most socially awkward goober can have great success.

I'm in a committed relationship now, but sometimes I still feel a deep longing to just pop back in and try to hook up again...

Like those gay hookup apps, OKC only really works in a densely populated city. If you happen to be in NYC, it is really quite easy to study for a few weeks and eventually set up more dates than you have days in the week. Me and my buddy were gonna rip off all his friends by setting up a pool, trying to see how many girls I could get to come home with me after an OKC date, but I did something really fucking stupid and decided I liked one of them too much to keep seeing the others.

I doubt anyone can "kill it" on there due to reasons others have outlined, but I've been with a couple 6's and a couple 7's. Better than nothing, and good for getting over a dry spell. Basically, and I can't stress this enough, you need to do the exact opposite of what women and society claim will get you good results (as usual).

Make sure when you describe yourself, you seem like an arrogant asshole prick. Use one of those quotes a badboy would use, preferably something funny and related to alcoholism/gambling/sin/etc.

Basically, you're a hunter laying a trap. The best hunters put themselves in the mind of their prey. So when you write your profile, imagine you're a dumb slutty girl look for some hawt guyzzzzz to have fun with, like LOLLLLL! Once you've put yourself into that mindset, try and picture what she would respond to, and be that. Don't take too long or you'll lose IQ points.

Your pics should make you look like a total dbag, e.g. shirtless selfie in the mirror (you're jacked, right? ...tattoos help), generic message not specific to anything in her profile (still needs to be good though), and don't you dare fill out all your information. In fact don't even read her profile; that's a massive DLV. If she's hot, then Ctrl + V your clever message and immediately move on to the next. You'll find out later, if she replies, about the details of her life and whether you are in fact interested based on her life. Don't spend more than 1 second until she responds positively.

My message was very forward and aggressive (but still calibrated/charming/funny/etc), thus weeding out the non-interested very quickly. The women it worked on were impressed by my confidence, despite it being nothing more than typed words lol. A few women would respond negatively, something like "um, no." or "In your dreams!" Why would they even bother to reply? Just delete my message if you're not interested. Why try to hurt my feelings about it? It's like the whole "is that your pickup line?" thing you'll get from bitchy women in a bar. I guess they have a petty need to assert their superiority. You can either fuck with them for amusement or just delete their messages. I would do either one, depending on my mood.

Oh yeah, and take the ugliest picture she has. Take away 1-9 points. Her real looks are somewhere in that range.

i only use it to set up shit when traveling. i do pretty well, but the site is really worthless for every day hooking up. most of them are ugly and knocking on the wall. mot young ones are the straight monsters of their peer group. the few quality women are nothing you couldn't have gotten(in higher quantity too) over the course of a couple days in the real world. maybe i am biased or lucky though, live in NYC and all.

Noone really "kills it" on OKC or online in general.

If you're good enough to get mad stacks online, you're good enough not to need to use online as a crutch in the first place, and wont do because the thrill is never as strong online, and the work required is twice as hard for half the reward.
