How do RPW respond to cat-calling/"street harassment"?

Men are bigger, stronger, and more aggressive than you are. This does not give them carte blanche to do as they please, but it would be in your best interest to learn and practice girl game when confronted with an uncomfortable situation such as cat calling. Smile, say thank you, and continue walking casually. Showing a tiny bit of respect, even if it wasn't earned, will go a long way in keeping you out of dangerous situations. Also, carry mace and/or a firearm.

Women will always have a negative visceral reaction towards most men expressing interest in this fashion, especially if she is a kept woman, but you must do your best to suppress these feelings as to not give the man/men any reason to escalate. In the case of those young men, they're just punks who need their ass beat by a strong father figure and the best course of action is to ignore them without disrespecting them. It is unfortunate that there are not enough father figures in our society to curb their behavior, but this is the reality of our post-feminist world.

I usually just ignore and go about my business. There is nothing to be gained by getting into a confrontation with randoms and possibly putting myself in danger.

Well, if it's a complement, I always take it as one, even if it's in the form of catcalling. For example, if someone said to me "nice tits", I'd say "thank you", and be on my way. However, if I got a comment like in your story, I'd just ignore it.

I don't say anything and keep walking. If I ever felt threatened, I carry a firearm. But I feel like 99.99% of cat calls are harmless.

A nice/clean compliment deserves an honest thank you and then go on your merry way. If they are sexually lewd comments and obviously rude, just ignore it and pretend you didn't hear anything

It all just depends on how safe I feel and how lecherous I think the person is being. I ignore anything crass.

My first reaction even before I was in my LTR was ignore them or just shrug it off. I wasn't looking for attention from the type that would do such a thing. I'm also in my own little world 90% of the time.

Now that I am taken, I completely ignore no matter what, do not acknowledge or eye contact. They are air, not worth my time. I really have no care in the world past Betterhalf, a man of class and far more discerning eye then 'two legs and can walk down a street' thinks of how I look. I don't care if I have on the short skirts to the slinky one with slits. If I am with him at the time. I just move closer to him. The signal is clear.. I'm His.

So yeah, this 'be gracious' thing is a steaming pile of bullcrap.

They aren't serious about the compliments, they are kids seeking a reaction. Being angry about it just makes it worse and is just as bad. Having some other guy try and do the 'white knight confront' thing I have seen about the net is just hysterical on a whole another level of hypocrisy.

99 percent of cat calls are harmless. Men are expected to make the first move, and women love that...who wouldnt love pick of the litter. Expect this simple side effect -- catcalling -- most of the time the guy is just enjoying the one second your mind was distracted by him because youre attractive. Ignore it. Dont listen to any of these idiots who say smile, or nod, or say thank you, they have no idea how the real world works. you need to ignore it completely not only to be unconfrontational but also to respect your SO if you have one. If you dont ignore it they will continue to amplify because its working and they think their desperate ass will have a chance.
I am a man and i have cat called plenty, and still do. Just because sometimes the girl actually is willing to talk if shes single or amused by my comment. I have met and dated many women ive met in public...yes, even some that i was cat calling. Im tired of all the white knight men on reddit acting like cat calling men are some sort of criminal. ive never seen one person on this site admit they do it...where have all the men gone?

About an hour ago even i asked some beautiful girls walking down the street in mini skirts what they were doing tonight looking so lovely (and with a crooked smile)...thats a catcall, does that sound so bad? Sometimes ill whistle so i can see her turn around too because my brain is going haywire cuz dat ass is fat. then ill be all like heyyy and of course she thinks its creepy but im honestly a good looking guy and i dont really give a fuck, this isnt a bad thing and the feminists have gone way too far making it seem like its this rape culture epidemic breeding catcalling monsters. I digress. If you dont want the attention ignore it. If you dont want to interact with humans dont go outside.

Also, some guys are assholes and will insult you if you deflect their attempt. Just ignore it! Theyre insecure and assholes, my friends do this sometimes and i absolutely hate it...something like 'nevermind bitch, find jeans that fit' it has nothing to do with you at all and thats his best attempt to make himself feel better. Normal! Typical asshole, some people suck, ignore and dont even give it a thought.

The only time to actually be afraid is if the guy starts following you or touches you. In that very rare case, run, scream, tell him to go away...ive been chased too....some people are just psycho.

My reaction varies based on what is said. I will normally make eye contact and smile slightly and say "thank you" if it's not vulgar. If it is vulgar I don't acknowledge it. I suffer from "resting bitch face" and I make sure to look them in the eye and not soften my face. It has never gone passed that initial comment. I take into consideration whether I'm in public or walking down the side street at my apartment and depending on the location I acknowledge or ignore it.

Strong body language, keep moving and do not engage them in conversation, these are low level omega males with poor social skills. Engaging them in conversation, or looking at them will likely lead to them escalating and completely misinterpreting your response. Change sides of the street, sides of the mall wherever you are to gain distance between you and them before you get to a group like that. Finally, be super aware of your surroundings and how you can quickly get out of a situation that goes badly quickly.
