Because feminists are the cause of a good chunk of the equality men face. Don't act like feminists do shit for men. They use them as meat shields, pretend to give a shit and placate to gain their help. I used to be one of those idiots, until I actually looked into feminism, their roots, their actions, not their empty words and claims.

Because feminism is bitterly, implacably opposed to gender equality.

Achieving equal legal rights for men will require defeating feminism since feminists have taken a stance directly opposing equality.

Fortunately, the trend is on our side: the percentage of women who identify as feminists is falling every year and has done for at least two decades. Now it's down to only about 15% in the US and only 7% in the UK. I hope we will see the end of the hate cult of feminism in my lifetime.

Why not advocate for men with us instead of making DV/rape research and services gendered, blocking reforms to default to shared child custody in divorce, block reforms to end lifetime alimony unless a permanent disability during the marriage, shaming men for not sharing their feelings and then shaming men for sharing their feelings, proposing and lobbying to pass gender biased laws/public policy, etc?

I don't think feminism actually needs MRA to solve issues. You already have huge support of men outside, politicians, universities and UN. I can be fired from my job if I say at my workplace that men deserve due process and investigation when they are accused of sexual harrasment. This is how powerful feminism is.

Title IX doesn't offer due process to accused male. There are only women only scholarships and workshops in STEM. Only school girls are taken for STEM trips as part of career motivation. School boys don't deserve career? There are only 2 men's shelter in US for homeless men and men under traumatic tragedy in comparison to 2000+ women's shelters.

This is how powerful feminism is. It collects resources for 50% population by denying resources to other 50% population.

By the name itself, feminism is a female centrist movement, some prominent feminists openly says they support men's rights as a utility for women to benefit from. No as a basic right issue for men as humans. Just like how animal welfare will benefit chicken farms or how diaries can increase milk by better taking care of cows.

If things are so balanced, you will see tons of benefits provided to women from top organizations in UN to grass roots level ones in third world countries, governmental facilities, quotas, reservations, tax cuts, educational institutions, what not. Only for women, but None For Men.

All the while, common men were protecting his family historically to be ridiculed as beast of burden or busy bees working for queen bees.

No offense, but referring to people as "y'all" in your opening sentence , unironically, is a red flag.

I recognize that both groups have inequalities and I believe they should all be advocated for and fixed.. I realize that feminists don't advocate for men as much as they should but we (excluding extremist man-haters) do recognize that men have these inequalities

Those man haters have infiltrated top, powerful positions in education, politics and media. THEY are driving feminism now, and you "decent" folk aren't feminists in THEIR definition of the word.

Many have tried, only to be told they're hijacking women's issues and find someone else. They do and now suddenly the feminist cares about their issues.

There's nothing wrong with advocating on behalf of women. Just don't go advertising you're for Men's Issues when that's not the case.

Okay, let's spark a conversation:

-Duluth Model of Domestic Violence

-The Decleration of Sentiments

-Mary P. Ross excusing male victims from rape research because she declared it improper to call what happened to them, at the hands of female perpetrators, "rape". She was officially endorsed by the National Organization for Women by the way.

-Shared Parenting Bill blocked.

-False Rape Accusations ignored.

-Metoo movement's harsh treatment of male victims sharing their stories of harassement and abuse.

I highly doubt, though, you've even heard of any of the above nor take them seriously since you sound like yet another one of those "Casual Feminists" whom merely adopted the label because it sounded good on paper.

I just see a lot of MRAs denying females inequalities and invalidating them with their own.

Domestic Violence and Rape aren't gendered issues. They were made that way by YOUR movement through faulty statistics and research. You also weaponized it against male victims by making it out like women had it worse so don't lecture us on invalidation when you REEK of it!

Feminism is from good to bad. The official goals and ideas are good. The real changes in policies feminism made often hurt men. And they block gender neutral laws.

Then there is the misandry provoking theory and propaganda. You can't tell people about thousand years of oppression and blame men for all evils of history and think people won't start to hate men. That is the same as war propagada... 1:1.

Join feminism and fight for equality together? I tried sometimes. First I had to accept their believes no dissense was accepted even if it was just another perspective or interpretation. It's like joining a religion, you have to believe the dogmas. Talking about men? No chance. Any topic is answered with "women have it worse. So don't talk about men. That's whataboutism"

I had some good conversation with feminists though. Still it is often to loaded with feminist theory.

I dont believe feminism is bad, i believe it can be bad. And the reason i consider myself an MRA is because i have seen a lot of examples of it being bad. But that being said, i have met,l and discussed things with quite a few civil, normal feminists who dont hate men. And i dont believe there is a patriachy or matriarchy in todays society, men and women have it messed up in their own areas. Normal, civil feminists just highlight womens problems, while normal, civil MRAs highlight mens. There needs to be a balance so that society can move forward and try to eliminate these issues.

We do recognize that women in some non-western counties suffer inequalities.

Why not advocate for men with us instead of supporting a movement that actively fights to take rights away from men?

We could all be doing this together to spark conversations and such. I just see a lot of feminists denying inequalities suffered by males and invalidating them with their own.

It’s just two sides of the to represent the same coin, we all want equality, MRA’s just advocate against the inequality men face and feminists put an emphasis on the inequalities of being female. I think that there are advantages and disadvantages for both and are not comparable so thus two different movements, that being said, we all want a more free and fair society. So all our hearts are in the same place. I myself try to be egalitarian in my views
