All? Thats a lie. A good chunk? Sure we arent helping ourselves in a lot of areas. We could do better. The issue? Those men who are causing the issues tend to be soy boy white knights who are only doing it to get attention from a woman in the first place. Not all, but most. Some dudes really just shitty people but their victims gender means nothing to them.

The male who is homeless because a divorce strips him of everything. Victims of sexual and other abuse who suicide because help offered on a platter to others is denied them. Innocent boys and men targeted with false accusations. I won't go on. Too depressing.

None are truly innocent. All are on their own. All deserve their fates.

Many laws concerning child custody, marriage, divorce, sexual assault, and domestic violence were written by feminists. These are all areas where men face legal, institutionalized discrimination.

There's also evidence that women enforce gender norms more often than men do.

In general though, you can say that the issue is with society, and that society is made up of both men and women. If they claim otherwise you can say it's sexist (against women) to downplay the role of women in society. As well as sexist against men to put all the blame on men. This dual form of sexism against both men and women is typical of how feminists see the world.

Women have been a willing part of the shitty social contract for just as long as men have. No amount of female heads of state magically ended war, crime, poverty, disease or any form of bigotry.

Millionaire women are just as selfish as millionaire men. Women are on the front lines of these selfish “anti-quarantine” protests. Does this person you’re arguing against think that women have no agency?

Feminism, as a movement, demonstrates that politically motivated women will fight for themselves, and ONLY themselves, given ample opportunity for activism. They have actively campaigned against male support causes and continue to seek gendered language when supporting protections under the law.

So no, the notion that men are solely to blame for their issues is complete horseshit. It’s a sexist view that assumes women have no influence over men, which is categorically false.

Well, to answer your first question, I don’t really care what others say on this topic. It seems like kind of a pointless debate honestly. But if you want to go down that road I would be more like to agree with them than disagree (hear me out before you judge). I believe in accepting responsibility, both personally and as a collective. I would say to you “men’s problems” have either been started by men or could’ve have been stopped by men at some point. It’s up to you to change things in your individual life that you feel are problems. It’s up to men (or whatever group you want to insert here) to address and change problems being faced. Arguing about who’s fault it is is pointless, unhelpful and juvenile.

To your second question, why is it us vs them? Men being raped is bad (in or out of prison). Women being raped is bad. Her argument of prison rape not counting is ridiculous. But so is trying to figure out who is the bigger victim.
