In a sense, yes, we are competing. I think the thing to remember is ultimately we are all individuals with unique wants and needs. A strong "alpha" male may still want an LTR. I honestly think /r/redpillwomen and /r/marriedredpill are the most complementary.

Also, RPWs don't necessarily want an alpha, and even less necessarily want an RP man. We primarily look for good men, which come from many backgrounds and ideological credences. There are a few users here in relationship with TRP users but I think the majority are with men who have no idea what the RP is.

To elaborate on the genders competing, read the sidebar material. It does a better job than I can regarding breaking down female/male sexual strategies. But from a biological point of view, men want to spread their seed (aka less commitment = better for reproduction). Women want someone to provide for them and their offspring (more commitment = better for reproduction).

I think RPW does a great job at reconciling those differences whereas TRP doesn't really give a crap. But RPWs do not typically exclusively seek out RP men for the reasons you gave. We just meet people, try to see the best in them, and then support them once they've earned our commitment. Maybe an RP man wouldn't like that but it is what it is.

Redpill women are the sort of women not interested in being plates, and interested in being high quality women who have permanent partnerships with high quality men.

Plenty of RPers would be happy to see pre-Sexual Revolution sex and marriage norms for women return, and advise men to spin plates and never marry because those norms are not present for almost all societies in total.

RP is just information on how men and women are, and how men should react to a sexual marketplace that doesn't favor them.

RPW is the same, but about how women should react to a commitment marketplace that doesn't favor them.

It's first thing in the morning and I can't remember this word for word but there is a saying, from Rollo Tomassi, that goes something like - For one sexual strategy to succeed the other must forego itself. Someone help me out?

Anyway, during marriage 1.0 women's sexual strategy was the one that was more controlled. Once married, that was it. Hypergamy must be squashed by her or there would be scandal. Now it's marriage 2.0. By making men think they must behave like women, their own strategy was squashed. Ironically, for those 20% of men who don't care, their sexual strategy works beautifully for them and they can sleep with loads of women commitment free.

For marriage to work, both sexes must suppress their sexual strategies, only today there's no need to do that. Men have tried to compensate by giving women what they say they want rather than staying masculine and being what we really want.

So, yes, in a sense they are competing. I think very few RPW would date RPM. Our goal is marriage. Most RPM do not want that as a goal.

Honestly, if you want other people (us or the main Red Pill sub) to make a decision about such a fundamental life structure thing for you.... You've got a long way to go before you would be the kind of man I would be interested in. I would imagine others would agree.

Figure out what kind of life you want, if you want to be solo and just look after yourself, or if you want a family, then go get that and ignore anyone who tries to judge it. Is that really so hard?

We provide for each other. What he does is more obvious financially but I don't think you can put a price on either.

He comes back from work for lunch to a warm drink, home cooked meal, fresh artisian bread from the oven, a slice of warm cake to take with him back to his desk. He comes back after work and I get to have a warm bath to rest while he reads to our son.

I guess when you are married to the right person, it feels like a pleasure and a joy every minute, not a trap. It feels like you're on a team with someone who wants the best for you and loves you on your best and worst days. It feels secure and warm and like you've found your home to come home to every night. And then you have kids and life is really difficult sometimes yes, but also a total joy at other times.

are rp and rpw at odds?

I don't think they're at odds at all.

Most of the things in this sub encourage women to be loving toward their men, not hold ridiculous standards, and generally do things out of sacrifice for their men.

Most of the things in TRP encourage men to be less loving toward women, and generally do nothing out of sacrifice; TRP maintains that a man does only what he wants for himself.

I think these two ways of life are complementary, only because men are predisposed to sacrifice for women, and women are predisposed to be apathetic toward men, both to the detriment of all parties involved. The respective subreddits simply seek to remedy that.

I don't think it's as much at odds as you think, honestly. TRP doesn't explicitly say don't marry -- they say don't commit to women who aren't worthwhile, e.g. Women who aren't wife material or even just relationship material become plates. Here in RPW, it's not that we're just looking for commitment -- we're looking for commitment from worthwhile men.

If you're at a place in life where you don't want commitment, then embrace that. If down the road you decide being single isn't for you anymore, then embrace the possibility of a relationship. However, like many said, if you're asking for our opinions, you have a long way to go.

Women are the gatekeepers of sex, and RPW wait for worthwhile men who commit before engaging. Men are the gatekeepers of commitment, so even at TRP, they will commit with worthwhile women. I think sometimes it comes across as a he man woman haters club, but a desire for companionship is human nature, so again, that happy buzzword -- "WORTHWHILE."
