So in Europe and the US they will not allow a non-diverse company, just going further to make the case that your sex and race DO matter. Shockingly though, This wasn't a rule for Asia and given the fact probably all are all-male Asian guys it shows that they Infact do not give a fuck about diversity and are just giving people what they want - No white males, Said the white male

Same policy in India for listing shares in market. They made it compulsory to put women in director board. Hefty fine was there earlier.

A cynic might suggest that it's because men risk and put effort into building things and women are only interested in benefiting from the things men have built.

This doesn't surprise me. Many people aren't going to like this answer because it doesn't confirm with the ideas they already have but the average board is filled with very old guys who are usually bigoted and grew up in an area where bigotry and an formal caste system (segregation) was the norm in America.Their failure to find a single woman or non-white person to stick on the board even as a token is likely reflective of deep seated bigotry and hostility. Most of these cities where these firms are HQ'd are not even white majority and haven't been for decades. Given the civil rights act and its various titles it was really only a matter of time before this occurred and I'm frankly surprised it didn't occur earlier. As a federal backed company with federal dollars and licensing they could lose their banking license if they cannot demonstrate they are not discriminating or aiding discrimination.

Often times people try to raise the counter point of but shouldn't the best person get the job. Well in theory sure, but even in a country/region where everyone is the same race, we know that doesn't happen. There are all kinds of neopotism, toadyism, sectism, tribalism, etc. that come into play and sometimes people are just irrational. I've worked with managers who wanted to hire people just because they wanted to have sex with them, and I'm not talking about heterosexuals here either. Half the reason for the glass ceilings are gays wanting people to sleep around with at the top.

In an employment context there often times are several ways/methods/means to measure the best person and the best person is usually selected based off some inexplicable gut feeling from the manager. Which in a person raised in the 1950s or 60s will likely come down to some type of caste based bias. Most jobs have multiple qualified people applying of varying ethnic/gender backgrounds. The fact that every time a position pops up and you have multiple people with similar backgrounds applying but only select ones fitting a certain ethnic/gender profile, doesn't prove discrimination beyond any shadow of a doubt, but certainly raises the question of it, at the very least unintentionally.
