The ONLY thing you should text her for is to set up a date. Do not text her for ANY OTHER REASON. And do not snap chat her either.

Fuck what she prefers. Social media is a woman's realm - she rules there. I'd stick to texting, but only for logistics. Also, you don't need to establish a date "real quick." Moreover, if she senses you do, it will seem needy and may turn her off.

When it comes to non-face-to-face interactions (aka texting), less is more. The general rule of thumb I follow is wait three days, then text her a hello and that you liked meeting her the other day, followed with an action date idea.

Don't care about what she prefers, care about what you prefer. Don't need to chat much over text, just setup a date sooner rather than later and no need to text in between. You're a busy man with a busy life.

strike while the irons hot! Don't waste time chit chatting just get down to it, i would ask to meet up for coffee always a safe bet. Also by not getting to deep into conversation through text or snap you will have things to talk about when you grab coffee making things smoother and not forced or awkward.

Pick something you want to do, then invite her.

I like pub trivia, but hate going alone. Instead of inviting guy friends, I invite a girl. BAM.

Same with cool bars in town. I love hitting up a few cool places. Don't want to go alone. So I invite her.

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head:

Keep approaching other women. You need to have abundance mentality to not come across as needy.
Don't put her on a pedestal. Remember, at this point in your development girls are just practice for future romantic exploits. All relationships will come to an end. You're going to have failures and it's all part of the learning process.
Set up a meetup as soon as possible. Do something fun that will show your good qualities. Don't take her to dinner.
Make occasional small talk, but don't be too available. Whatever you say, be clever or interesting. Don't make meaningless conversation via text. Don't send dick pics unless she specifically asks for one.
Don't worry if she flakes. In my experience young girls often flake or lose interest really fast. It's just part of that age range I think.

Keep it simple stupid. Go get coffee, kino her a little, go for a walk about 20 min into coffee, kino some more then kiss her. Cut the date off shortly after unless you can logistically pull to your place. Hit her up a day or two later and see if she wants to watch a movie at your place this weekend.

Keep it playful and fun before then.

Set up a meet first. Coffee or something that she won't bail on. Most guys make the mistake of inviting her over to their place right away. That rarely works because she needs to figure out if you're a weirdo or not. Pre screen before the cave. It's an evolutionary thing.

You don't have to text at all actually. It's better if you don't. If you must, then keep it mysterious.
