A woman has told a jury she “wished she knew” why she falsely claimed she had been raped by a taxi driver in the back of a black cab.

Laura Hood claimed she was raped by driver Haroon Yousaf in a side street on 8 January 2017 but a tracker device fitted to the taxi contradicted her claim, showing the vehicle made no detours apart from when Ms Hood stopped to use a cash machine.

Gentlemen, ABR (Always Be Recording). Doesn't matter if it is a video camera, bodycam, go pro, microphone, or even a tracking device.

Mr Yousaf could have found himself on trial for rape without the evidence from the tracker.

Ms Hood has admitted the incident could not have taken place but has denied that she knowingly lied about it.

NEVER HER FAULT.

On Friday, jurors were told Ms Hood had seen a consultant forensic psychiatrist on two occasions and he concluded there was no medical or psychiatric explanation for her belief.

When her barrister, Thomas McKail, asked if she accepted that the incident did not take place, Ms Hood replied “Yes.”

The barrister continued: "There is no explanation as to how you may have believed this to have happened, is there?”

She replied: "I wish I knew. I wish I could explain why something so clear in my head ... obviously it can't be true."

Most women have a "child chameleon" ability where they can mimic or be seen as children in need of protecting, and this has served them well from an evolutionary perspective. It saves them from negative consequences of their actions and hijacks other human's -- mostly men but sometimes even other women are affected -- protective instincts towards children, and it can be successfully done at all ages. This has been noted by biologists in the fact that women retain juvenile features (and consciously highlight childlike behaviours to potential mates) throughout their entire reproductive age, whereas the exact opposite happens in males.

Interestingly, this innocence is a double-edged sword that makes it difficult to see them as leaders or responsible authority figures in any way, but I guess they can just blame the global patriarchy conspiracy for that problem and reap the rewards of "poor girl, she just needs help" or "that's so cute and adorable" reactions as well.

We live in a dangerous society where, unless the precedence is set now that false claims are punishable by the same sentence as the accused crime, this is going to snowball.

We're seeing this too often now. It's wasting time and money for the courts, and causing incredible distress on the accused.

False accusations need to be punishable, otherwise these reports are going to become more and more common.

We're currently living in a very malicious and petty society. People see jail as revenge and false accusations are being made for attention. Fuck those people.

All these terms like "rape culture" and the view that men are nothing but rapists might lead some of these women feeling left out? I mean, if a woman gets raped every 30 seconds and nothing ever happens to you... what does that say?

If it wasn't for the taxi's tracking device the innocent men would be tried for rape and be put in prison and have his life ruined, while the media creates hysteria about taxi drivers raping women. In the UK not long ago there was a politician who wanted a women-only taxi service (female drivers and female-only passengers) because "male drivers might rape female passengers" (fortunatley it was rejected).

It's clearly at the stage all taxis need a tracking device as well as an always-on camera inside the cab to protect the driver from allegations.

Even if one man has his life ruined from a false rape allegation that is one too many.

Prosecutor Geoff Whelan said: “If it were not for that tracker data, Mr Yousaf may have found himself on trial for rape because the defendant made up a story about him.

Actually, the reason they'd be on trial is because your bullshit "justice" system prosecutes people who are accused of rape even when there's no fucking evidence that the accusation is true.

The appropriate response to this would be for UK cabbies to decline to pick up women, unless the driver is magically immune to the consequenses of female privilege, (i.e. also a woman.)
