If you want to talk about learning to laugh at yourself, how many times have men retorted to this kind of behaviour only to have these same women absolutely flip their shit. There was a topic awhile back of a man who responded to this by telling her not to be fat and give good head and there were a good portion of the comments trying to attack the OP claiming he was overreacting and being an arsehole and of course they barely cared about what the woman was saying.

I wouldn't have a problem with your attitude if you weren't inevitably so selective about what you find offensive and didn't. By the way, I wouldn't give a shit if this was a joke, I would roll my eyes and move on. The problem is there are women who actually hold themselves to these sorts of standards and then get angry at men because they can't get boyfriends.

Men aren't emotional punching bags for women, I really despise this kind of shit, I hate people who use others as emotional punching bags generally but there's a really obvious trend here where you have women who think they can treat men like absolute shit and get away with it and then there are people who hop on going "Dur just a joke guys calm down" when you don't even know the context of everything yourself.

I've openly declared I won't date women on a default sub who are feminists because they're crazy lunatics and low and behold the crazies came out of the woodworks to attack me for it lol there was even one person who responded saying they pretty much proved my point with those antics.

Don't get me wrong man, I totally agree that no one, man or woman, should be the subject of blatant abuse. Verbal or otherwise. But, this is clearly a joke. As far as making a public disclaimer as to why you won't date a feminist by default kind of just leaves the door open for argument. Keep in mind that the type of people you will find on forums and discussion on the internet are most likely not the top notch minds of the movement. Most people who take their claims to the internet are the fanatics who are going to argue about it and be offended no matter what the context, intention, or evidence that's been provided. (Look at flat earthers and holocaust non believers for instance.) Additionally lumping every single person with an opinion on the subject into a black or white category is equally unfair and invalidated. Are all feminists man hating, riot causing drama queens? No. Are all men pig headed, indecent, rapists? Also no. But again, forming a tempest in a teacup over every little comment just makes the whole situation seem petty and childish, and it takes away from the real issues by burying them beneath a mountain of bullshit. If women out there are setting these things as "actual standards" and getting mad because they can't find love, that's their problem not every one else's. Furthermore, any woman who does this is probably a raging shit storm of hypocrisy anyways, so is their opinion really that important? Do we really need the validation of people we don't want in our lives anyways? Is it beneficial to us or anyone else so start a witch Hunt over a silly text message or social media post? Isn't there enough shenanigans in the world over public opinion as it is?

Look, I have no issue with woman having ridiculous standards. Nor do I have issues with men having ridiculous standards. For all I care, you can refuse to date anything that's not a gender-ambiguous alien exactly 1423 mm tall made of goo the exact same shade as the periwinkle crayon.

My issue, for like the third time now, is that the acceptability of having high standards like these is not the same for men as it is for women. If my female coworker Susan says she only dates men who are at least an 8, her girlfriends will say "LOL!" and that's it. If my male coworker Sam makes the same remark about women, he gets some nasty comments, probably a meeting with HR, and possibly even termination.

I don't care what people's standards are; I'm not even on the market so it doesn't affect me in any way. I'm just pointing out there are men who have faced consequences for the same actions women have gotten away with and it's not right.
