I mean, as long as we're going to treat them the same as men (aka like shit), I don't see why not. As long as they pass the same physical tests and don't get a "Get out of jail free" card via getting pregnant, go for it.

Drafting women would only lead to a semblance of equality if they were being drafted into combat. An influx of women into the non-combatant roles would "free up" more men to be drafted into the meat grinder. The women would get valuable training for their return to civilian life while even more men would get chewed up on the frontlines and return to civilian life with combat training, combat wounds and ptsd.

Even if women couldn't cut it on the frontlines, there's no reason they couldn't be used to hold ground already taken by the men. Maybe they station women to hold territory at a 3-to-1 (4-to-1?) ratio as the men who take the territory.

Go on then. Make women register for the Draft. Make them meet the same gruelling standards as men. Put them through the degrading process of Basic Training.

A bullet doesn’t care if you’re male or female, a terrorists won’t shoot more slowly at you if you’ve got a vagina.

Make them meet the same standards as men and if the do, let them join.

She was a Communications Officer(0602), not an Infantry Officer (0302).

Her whole piece is an example of card-stacking, which is how most journo-propaganda is written.

She has to go all the way to Sweden to try and 'prove' her point. Why stay right here at home and observe female integration in real time?

Ok yes women should be allowed to fight and die for their country, about time, men having been doing it since we climbed down from the trees. However if I'm commanding an army fighting an army with women in the front line I'm telling my troops to capture as many women as possible alive. The videos you could release of these women in captivity would be gold. Terrifying glimpses of possible sexual assault, crying for their children etc it would be a PR disaster for the other army and could weeken the resolve of other women fighting in that army, hitting moral and making their male comrades question if a woman is going to stand and fight beside him.

Just another bit of information. The Marine Corps infantry training battalion or ITB had multiple female Marines participate before females were allowed in the Infantry. Of those few that made it through, none of them said that they wanted to be infantry. There are comments from them stating that they wanted to see if they were up for it or to just test themselves.
