While I do understand there are some girls that are younger going for older guys, the guy in that situation has the ability to turn them down. If the girls 18 then there's nothing wrong. I worked with a girl who was 17 and she was with a 27 year old guy.

You can't dismiss the older women gping for younger guys either. I'm 18 but I get hit on by older women and corporate parties or events, even my mom's best friend

I work with a mainly female group, they constantly talk about my butt and how it’s big and they come up and slap it. This doesn’t really bother me, I just think to myself if I did that to a woman I’d be fired on the spot

it's not so much that perverted women aren't see as perverts, just that it's permitted. The "older man into young girls" stereotype is always seen as disgusting, the the "older woman into young boys" is painted as a "sexy cougar" more often than not.

Not much, I know, but TV Land sitcom Teachers did a bit on this, in which one of the titular teachers was giving her class a lesson in identifying perverts. Out of the three candidates - two male, one female - the kids all choose the obvious 'pervert looking' men. But were they correct..?

On a similar note, the ridiculous amount of female teacher '''romping''' with underage male students that are frequently featured on the sub kind of puts a massive dent in the stereotype. And that's just in one area of profession. But its a stereotype that's deeply ingrained in society and won't change overnight. I think things are changing in that regard, painfully slow, but changing nonetheless.

Dude, in my hometown the other day the local paper had a headline 'WHO IS THIS MAN?' with a huge photo, all front page, of him in a public place near a child. There was LITERALLY a NATIONAL manhunt because ONE woman reported a 'child walking off with an older man'.

The paper sold about a quarter million copies, and social media went crazy and trended the manhunt, with items on national news.

Today its all quiet...know why?

Because it turns out the 'perverted mysterious dangerous old man' was just the FATHER who had visitation rights that day, all agreed and legal.

I think it's coming fron a place of as an adult he should have known better than to have relations with a minor. No matter who started that fling wether its the man or the girl, the adult should have stopped the whole thing.

I maybe agree in some cases but I understand why you got downvoted. A 25-year old with a high schooler is pretty controversial and the 25-year old, regardless of gender, has to take responsibility for that situation. I don't think this was the best example to bring this up. As for a double standard for pervy woman in general, there might be something there but doesn't seem like a major issue. I think women who advocate for circumcision based on sexual preference should be called perverted (or pedos), I'd say that's more of an issue than the rabbit hole of tabulating double standards and "gender equality".

Well, anecdotally almost half of my male friends are real perverts and I literally don't know a single pervert woman. Most women just don't really care much about the physical aspect of sex.

Look. The real issue here is that it's true. And the reason it's true is because -- wait for it -- MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT!

Things like "men's rights" exist because of this modern feminism bullshit. If people were honest with themselves and others, they would admit that there's a reason why men have ruled everything since the beginning of time.... it's not because we're assholes, it's because men were built to run shit and women were not. And part of being built for running shit is that we men are more aggressive. We're the ones who take initiative in every situation. And unfortunately, that means that if there was creeping to happen, it's usually going to be one of us who does it.
