I don't understand.

If you drink and drive, even if no one gets hurt or killed, you are a criminal.

If you assault someone while drunk, you stand to be convicted of assault.

Ad infinitum.

So why would sobriety figure into consent any more than criminal culpability?

I wish people (primarily feminists) would understand that this is the type of problem that they are creating by pushing their "ongoing affirmative consent" agenda.

The girl in this story probably honestly believes that she was raped. She isn't lying about anything. She is likely genuinely distraught over being sexually assaulted and genuinely feels victimized a second time by IU's failure to do anything about her rape. Going to school and seeing a guy you honestly believe raped you every day has got to really suck.

If you are indoctrinated week after week after week with the message that "you can't consent when drunk", you're going to start to believe it. The message is delivered that no matter how much you throw yourself at a guy, no matter how much you're the sexual aggressor, if you were drunk, you didn't consent because you couldn't consent.

But outside of liberal and feminist circles, consenting to sex while drunk is consensual sex - not rape. Do you blame the cult follower for drinking the kool aid that they've been told over and over and over again will save them? Or do you blame the cult leader who fed the followers lies and manipulated them month after month after month?

Consent is agreeing to sex when the opportunity to decline without unnatural consequences is available. If everyone would just stick with that simple definition, we wouldn't have all these false accusations created by women who have been intentionally manipulated and confused by feminists.

By that definition, are women not regularly guilty of raping men?

Is it possible for two people to rape each other?

So, how would they apply this to same-sex hook-ups where one or both parties were drunk?

Say it's a couple of guys and the top is drunk, so technically he's being raped even though he's the one driving the sex. They'd have fun sorting that one out.
