Man kisses reporter...news says she was “sexually assaulted.” How many times have we seen women kiss men, or grab men’s asses, and it’s ok?

The law of the U.S. is very strange to me and I have gotten different answers in different subreddits.... is a kiss actually "sexual assault" under the law in the U.S.?

In any case, it is my personal experience that women tend to be WAY more touchy-feely with men than the other way around. I don't think so-called "sexual assault" in these instances, is something that should be a crime. I mean, a kiss on the cheek? seriously?

A kiss on the cheek is pretty low in terms of “sexual assault”. I’d mostly chock it up to either being rude or just inappropriate, but I don’t think it’s serious enough to warrant labeling as assault if it only happens once. Touching someone’s hands or shoulders is also pretty low on the list, so it’s really not a big deal, especially as some cultures see it as being friendly. I get her not wanting to be touched, but just tell the guy not to do it. Problem solved.

These comments are delusional. If a stranger rushes me out of nowhere, grabs my body, and puts their mouth on my fucking face, it’s absolutely assault. This isn’t flirting or funny or acceptable, it’s terrifying to be ambushed and violated like that.

Yeah, what they're saying now is it's very different when a woman does it. It's actually only assault when a man does it.

And, there's truth to that: women get pissed when they get sexual attention a LOT more than men do.

So, maybe they'll write the law for equality. Then they'll only arrest and accuse men.

I agree with you, but this is not one of those stories that we want to hitch a ride on. What we should hope for is good timing with a man experiencing the same from female fans to highlight the hypocrisy
