Yea...cant let men do womeny things...only women are allowed to do thing across typical gender bounds.
[–]fengpi 17 points18 points19 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, it's a good thing that no woman ever gossips.

I just don’t understand what girls truly want from us...
[–]tenchineuro 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Maybe that's the idea right there.

the Greeks used to compare women to storms or weather. Always changing, not really moral agents.
We still don't consider them moral agents, by and large. They can attack men without the men getting help in public. They can stab men and get suspended sentences, etc.
In general, women seem to have a moral compass that is based on feelings and what man is in charge. It explains why when they feel horny or lonely, they'll date/fuck an 'asshole', but then they complain that's who they were with ("my boyfriend/ex is/was such an asshole").
It explains why their friends are victims of other people if their friends have a conflict with a third party, but that same friend will immediately be reframed as the 'bad one' if there's a falling out between each other.
In the most severe and personality disordered form, this is called "splitting", which is a characteristic of histronic/borderline disorders. However, given that we can actually observe changes in belief systems or feelings from moment to moment in the average woman, it is probably still present to a lesser degree among all humans, and heightened in women.
The reason for its existence is obvious. As a survival tool. Our brain is well known for taking short cuts. Steven Pinker introduces this in the logic question. We're designed to make evaluations instantly for survival. No nuance. No long, deliberate thought. First, that isn't how all animals apart from humans work, and since we're overgrown lobsters, we're going to have the same primordial circuitry. Second, even as humans came onto the scene with their big, juicy, chess club brains, they still were fighting with the elements. Tigers, disease, hunger, freezing and boiling temperatures, etc.
And as far as women go, they're more 'sensitive'. They have to be since they're physically weaker, and the birth of species is in the furnace of physical prowess. She needs to be sensitive/neurotic, to be able to instantly, if unthinkingly, categorize individuals, strangers, friends, as 'good' or 'bad', and avoid them if necessary, because there's an opportunity cost which is higher for her.
the reason you're confused and say "I don't know what they want" is because its always changing, even going back and forth on the same issue. Its not like they're liars. When they feel something at any particular moment, they trust their feelings as absolute guides of truth.

A lot of people like to vent and it’s not always appropriate to create a policy with what comes out of the mouth of a person venting.

This is top tier trolling considering the;
"I swear, these men are the new women."
Fractal trolling. At every conceivable resolution, to every reader, it's a wind up.

Well, you'll see, it's fine if men want to gossip about other men. She leaves-that door wide open. And for a woman to gossip about men, it goes without saying its perfectly allowable. Just don't dare to breathe a sideways comment about A Sacred Female. That would be cutting-in on her holy territory and therefore it's dirty pool.
It all makes sense when you believe men aren't actual human beings.

I'm usually good at noting that kind of stuff but well done, you pointed it out to me here.
[–]fengpi 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
That kind of stuff practically never stops. Women like this pretty much don't see men as human, they see them as Others, as Outgroupers, as some kind of enemy tribe.
Only due to her superior compassion, high intellect and ultra-pure motives, of course.
She's talking about straight men, I assume. I'm sure she loves to gab about juicy news with her gay pals over margaritas.

I like the sentence that says...
There's nothing worse than a male HATER.
I agree with this one, there's something wrong with people who hate men.
Although perhaps the intent was different.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah, noticed the emphasis was on the hater and not the male. Should be 'there's nothing worse than a MALE hater'.
[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They were trying to emphasize hater as disgusting and attach it to male as "males who hate women are most disgusting".

Nice satire.

To be fair gossipy men are beta as fuck.
[–]thrway_1000 10 points11 points12 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
The whole alpha/beta/etc. stuff is utterly moronic.

And yet it works.

I'm able to stop other men and women from having offspring?
[–]mwobuddy 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
By mate poaching, yes
[–]v574v 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Raising children is best done when the parents and their children all live under the same roof observing a healthy relationship.
Mate poaching runs against the best strategy for raising healthy children.

Ghengis khan certaintly did hot have a nuclear family picket fence with daisies out front approach to fathering children.
You're comparing mating strategy with 'whats good for raising kids', which is not the same thing.
And his kids were assholes.

But everyone gossips.

It's no lie that men are being feminized in Western society. It's a serious problem that is really affecting everything about our society. Men are really behaving like women these days, and it's distressing.
[–]Alphonetic 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well, let’s see. There’s the normalizing of girls’ behavior over boys’ in school, especially how they misdiagnose a lot of young boys with ADHD and put them on medication that they shouldn’t need because they’re young boys. Girl behavior is the standard. That’s probably the biggest contributor, in addition to intersectional feminism which infantilizes everyone it reaches who isn’t willing to denounce it. This nonsense is what’s really afflicting us, and Christina Hoff Sommers warned us about it nearly two decades ago, yet the people in charge of these things aren’t doing anything about it. I’m not so beat up over men acting somewhat like women, but I am knowing that some of them are doing it only because it’s how they matured and not actually what they’d be like in a standard environment.
