Personally I don't think (classic) liberalism and feminism are even in the same ball park. Feminism is more akin to communism than liberalism.

I'm neither liberal nor conservative, because neither seem particularly helpful towards males. The liberal side is too often feminist and perpetuates the idea that females are a "minority group" and that males are privileged and that men are the oppressors to blame for everything wrong

The tradcon side too often perpetuates the idea that it's men's duty to conform to traditional gender roles, even if he doesn't want to (e.g. getting married, being the breadwinner, going to war, never hitting women even in self-defense, providing and protecting, etc.) and shame men who aren't traditionally masculine

This isn't true for all liberals or conservatives, of course. But these seems to be the ideas that a prevalent within either groups

They're not the same, but it's not too much of a leap to link the two. If you're a liberal, you very likely spout feminist talking points. Liberals are the modern day feminists biggest allies, and as such they'll very likely be hostile to any discussion about men's rights.
