For all of you against circumcision, are you also against penile torsion correction?

Circumcision for medical reasons is very different from mutulating healthy boys. It's the difference between amputating your leg because you die otherwise vs just for fun.

Circumcision is designed to harm. All claims of benefits are meant to keep the gravy train running.

We are not against any medically necessary procedure, including circumcision (when medically necessary).

We are against unnecessary mutilation. Sometimes you have to mutilate someone (cut off their leg), and it's medically necessary. That doesn't mean we should legalize cutting off people's legs at birth as a safety precaution.

What anti circumcision means is non consentual circumcision of an infant for no reason. If the infant has a problem that poses a threat to the rest of its organ, such as phimosis, there is a legitimate medical reason. If an adult male or female wants to consent to a circumcison, even if it is for no needed medical reason, it is stupid but its still consensual. They should not be encouraged to do it but it should not be outright banned. It is the non consensual and non medically justified cases that we oppose.

I believe that if a procedure is medically NECESSARY, then OK. It's cool.

If it's an elective surgery and the person getting the surgery doesn't get to make that choice, then it is most certainly NEVER OK.
