I am the cis-hetero monster that wrote the novel, the movie, and directed the movie. I was pleased to read the backlash here to the female reviewer's comments. I am also old, by the way, and my protagonist is young. I have discovered that ageism (a neologism I have always disliked) is as virulent as any of our country's other bigotries. Threaten a SJW with an idea and do not be surprised if he counters first not with an attack on your idea, but on your age.
