That's pretty normal. At least in Texas. When you attempt to hide an asset during a divorce and it comes to light later you will lose it completely to the other side.

My mom told me how someone won over in Passaic, NJ(I live in Clifton right next to it) and the man immediately moved back to DR. In this instance I think this was awesome. But without context it could be fucked up. My girlfriend's mom doesn't work because she's disabled and her husband is a huge piece of shit who abuses her and spits on her and shit. If she won the lottery I'd hope she'd leave him and keep the money.

So a judge says the man is owed money on a lottery ticket he didnt buy and thats justice. "The law is the law!" But when the same judge says the woman is owed money on a business venture she had nothing to do with that's injustice? "The laws are sexist and punish men!" How is that consistent?
