CDC: More middle-aged white men than students die from binge drinking - those ages 35 to 64 accounted for three-fourths of America’s roughly 2,200 alcohol-poisoning deaths each year from 2010 to 2012.

Of course. The social hierarchy from most "innocent" and "pure" to most "vulgar" and "perverse" is young girls, women, young boys, men

Hence why people don't take women sexually abusing boys seriously, but do acknowledge that women can sexually abuse girls and men can sexually abuse boys

[–]Stevi100183 97 points98 points99 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That's so ridiculous. Women sexually abusing boys should get the same punishment as men. I hate this double standard bs

[–]Herr_Doktore 32 points33 points34 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You mean Justice should be blind?! That's crazy talk.

[–]emjaytheomachy 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is a position of the cis white strait men who created the government of this country. Therfore, it is patriarchy.

[–]ThelemaAndLouise 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm of the mind that male and female psychology is different, but hot fucking damn is there a sentencing disparity.

[–]Pz5 23 points24 points25 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Excellent comment. That hierarchy is a result of several decades of feminist propaganda.

[–]kek_mit_uns 30 points31 points32 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No, it is the result of millennia of evolution.

Humans don't have empathy for men, they have empathy for women and children. Girls are both, so get the most empathy, women are next, and boys get some empathy because while they are male (and thus not 'real people') they are also children. Men aren't people, and get none.

[–]Mashiki 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men aren't people, and get none.

Not quite correct. They're people, but far more disposable. That's why they receive less sympathy and empathy.

[–]wonderworkingwords 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Excellent comment. That hierarchy is a result of several decades of feminist propaganda.

Is it? I mean, we had child brothels into the late 19th century.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Social hierarchy from most "innocent" and "pure" to most "vulgar" and "perverse" is young girls, women, young boys, men

This needs to be put on a shirt.

[–]smallypants 39 points40 points41 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

For anyone confused: The OP refers to the victims being male or female. It looks like many are confusing "victim" with "attacker" here. Both attackers are female.

[–]vyssangull 26 points27 points28 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This would be much more poignant if it would be clear to the casual reader that the cases are comparable. The headlines make it seem as if the male case involved force, or at least lack of consent.

[–]AttilaTheBuns 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I see your point but that is also the point of the comparison, it says sexual assault when the victim is female but not when the victim is male.

[–]MikeyMike01 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Minors cannot consent.

[–]MaxStout808 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let's not forget the "fidget spinner" factor in the second case...judges hate those things...

But yeah, it's BS we all know that.

[–]wwwhistler 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it is the idea that males CAN NOT BE VICTIMS OF SEXUAL CRIMES....unless the perpetrator is also male

[–]randomnameplease2 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There was a teacher (female) at my high school that was caught sleeping with a student. However, not only was it just that teacher but her husband was involved too, and when the teacher was caught all of these texts and love letters were found from the two adults to this girl. The student was also the daughter of one of the most beloved ladies in our school's staff and I believe that nothing came of this investigation besides the teacher being terminated.

[–]Ser-Joe-the-Joe 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just out of curiosity, has there ever been a study of adult-minor relationships? Like who pursued who, where are they now in their lives? Like is some dude bragging he banged his teacher in middle school?

I also wonder how often girls try to come onto male teachers.

As for the perpetrator, the one that molested two girls is still trying to use another common tactic from mothers who commit crimes, using her children as a shield.

Lewis chose that punishment, to be followed by 4 years of probation and 500 hours of community service after Zurenko, who lives in Millerstown, Perry County, begged for leniency for the sake of her children, ages 11 to 3.

[..]"I'm asking you today for grace and mercy and to take my children into consideration when you determine my sentence," she added.

There is a difference between consensual sex and sexual assault. Statutory rape is not the same as sexual assault.

[–]AntiAbleism 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Women are always innocent, don't you know?

[–]Rumpadunk 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Except sometimes when hurting other women!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or one plead guilty and the other didn't. Or there were different mitigating circumstances. Or a million things happened that make these cases incomparable

[+]TheAnimusRex -7 points-6 points-5 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

This is fucking stupid. You can pick any one news story and prove any similar theory in an opposite fashion. Give me data or give me death.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Give me only one article with a male offender and an underage girl victim where the title says "sleeping with" instead of "rape" or "assault" or "abuse"...

[–]TheAnimusRex 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying I disagree, I'm saying anecdotes are fucking stupid.

One article with actual data points is worth a thousand single image comparison memes.

http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2013/04/a_look_at_teacher-student_sex.html

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I can't count how many articles involving female offenders where the title uses words like "sleeping" or "making love" with the children... It's almost as if it's something perfectly natural and innocent, as if nothing sexual ever happened and it's no big deal at all. And almost every time with nice looking pictures taken from Facebook or Instagram, just to humanize even more the offender, in a "you go girl" way... You never have such tone when it involves a male offender, it really makes me sick.

[–]pickettbryan 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

These two are both women.

[–]wwwhistler 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

but one had male victims (slap on wrist) and the other had female victims (prison time)......so the sex of the victims determined or at least influenced the punishment......and THAT is fucked up.

[–]TheAnimusRex -3 points-2 points-1 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I AGREE.

Collate your anecdotes into an actual analysis then we can talk, these 1 page memes are the exact kind of shit we laugh at feminists for using. They're not convincing, it's indicative of existing in an echo chamber.

[–]pickettbryan -4 points-3 points-2 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Just took your suggestion. According to Google they're both females. Source: https://www.google.com/amp/www.ajc.com/news/crime--law/catholic-school-teacher-gets-prison-time-for-sexually-assaulting-female-students/BMsCYAQIysyM17dPvwxR5H/amp.html

[–]smallypants 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The OP refers to the victims being male or female. It looks like you are referring to the attackers both being female, which was neither made clear by the OP or by your comment.

[–]pickettbryan 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ahhh, thanks for the clarification.

[–]smallypants 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

👍

[+]Praseve -11 points-10 points-9 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

This needs to be higher up!

Edit: Wow some people don't like their narratives challenged.

[–]outdated_hero -5 points-4 points-3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

While I completely agree that women should be held accountable for their actions, the gender changed between cases therefore it could be an argument of lesbian vs. straight sentencing rather than male vs. female victims.

[–]Apexbreed 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Excellent point so I think the counter argument would be showing cases where male teachers sexually assault female students and receive, on average, much higher sentences than this lesbian case. The first being hetero and highly punished, while the second being lesbian and minimally punished.

The best presentation would be a four pack photo showing all four scenarios (MvF, FvM, MvM, FvF) and comparing punishments. That would an outstanding eye opener.

[–]therealJBlack[S] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, so controlling for the sex of the teacher, if the victim is male, a perpetrator will have had "sex" with and will likely get less of a sentence and if the victim is female, the perpetrator will have assaulted the victim and will face stiffer punishment.

[–]feedmecarrots -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am going to take this as an improvement. It used to be the biggest variable for women offenders was their appearance. The better they looked, the lighter their sentence. The sex of the victim was not a consideration.

[+]pickettbryan -39 points-38 points-37 points 8 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Your example is two female teachers. Please cite sources to confirm.

[–]Fedex_me_your_Labia 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Why do people type comments like this? In the time it took you to request a source you could have googled it and had thousands of sources right in front of you.

[–]wwwhistler 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

on that same note....why are so many posts, questions that a simple google search will answer.....?

[–]Fedex_me_your_Labia 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've wondered this before too. r/askreddit is horrible for this. So many questions are simply something that you could find the answer to in much less time than it takes to create a post. For every well thought out question that is posted there are 25 posts that are mind numbingly simple things that your average 5th grader could answer for you with internet access and 30 seconds of spare time.

I don't think it's even a karma hunting thing to be honest. I really do think some people just want online interaction with others out of boredom and some weird cathartic desire to be acknowledged.

[–]wwwhistler 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i have an addon that allows me to highlight any text and do a search.....often i simply highlight the question they asked and find out the answer one click away.......

[–]kragshot 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's the new passive-aggressive way of trying to dismiss somebody's viewpoint. I could say "water's wet" and you'll have some douchebag coming in talking about "citations, please."

And the worst part is that nine times out of ten, even when you concede to their request, they have no intention of acknowledging your source as your original point goes against their stance anyway.

[–]Fedex_me_your_Labia -2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or they'll dismiss your source as non-legitimate.

[–]pickettbryan -5 points-4 points-3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I was referring to your supposed man article with a booking video of a woman. The one on the right. Why do people post shit without sources?

[–]Fedex_me_your_Labia 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why do people demand sources like it's a doctoral dissertation? It's the internet. 75% of the shit you read is not going to even have a source (I'll get you a source on that percentage later).

[–]pickettbryan -4 points-3 points-2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just took your suggestion. According to Google they're both females. Source: https://www.google.com/amp/www.ajc.com/news/crime--law/catholic-school-teacher-gets-prison-time-for-sexually-assaulting-female-students/BMsCYAQIysyM17dPvwxR5H/amp.html

[–]awesomeproblem 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What they were getting at is when a woman abused a male students she got away Scot free, but when another woman abused female students she got jail time. And that's completely fucked up.
